About this property
Inner City Sanctuary
HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT ACCOMMODATION: Tibbets on Tillot is a historical Queensland Cottage believed to have been built circa 1883. It was first owned by Edward Deighton (a clark in the Colonial Architect's office) and was part of Deighton Estate which was basically the triangle of land that sits between Old Ipswich Road (now Gladstone Road), Boggo Road (now Annerley road) and Gloucester Street. Tillot Street where your accommodation is located was named after Edward's mother (Tillot is her maiden name). Tibbets on Tillot is also named after Sarah Tibbets (a resident from 1925-1933) who demonstrated a sassiness and naughtiness often frowned upon for a woman of that time. ACCOMMODATION FEATURES: Tibbets on Tillot is a bike friendly, dog-friendly self contained space with a large main bedroom, separate living/dining, bathroom, laundry facilities, full kitchen and patio opening to a lush tree-filled back yard. The yard is fully fenced and secure with a separate entry to the main house. LOCAL AMENITIES: Within walking distance of Tibbets on Tillot you will find the Mater Hospital, PA Hospital, Southbank, the Gabba, Boggo Road CSIRO Precinct, Brisbane CBD, Brisbane Botanical Gardens, UQ St Lucia Campus, QUT Garden's Point Campus, Brisbane River Walks, parks and bikeways - basically we are very central. TRANSPORT: We are also close to the bus (we have a stop at the end of the street) and train (almost at the end of our street). We are also within the zone for electric scooters and bikes. DINING: Local dining precincts include Stanley Street, C'est Bon, Logan Road Antiques Precinct, the Gabba, Southbank, Little Stanley Street, West End, Fish Lane and more. BREWS: No's Cafe is 100m from our house, Two Dad's is up Annerley Road about 200m, and Shawty's Espresso is a 500m walk (and beside Park Rd Train/Bus Station). All will service you with some of the best brews and breaky food in Brisbane. Dovetail Social is 800m walk through the back streets of Dutton Park and does fantastic Asian influenced breaky and lunch. At the end of Annerley Road you will find brews of a different kind in the form of the Brisbane Brewhouse where you can taste local craft beer and food for a very fair price and the Red Brick Hotel which has some of the best pub food this side of the river. PARKING: We have free street parking (with a supplied digital permit). Should you be driving just forward your car registration number and state/territory of registration.
Your hosts live upstairs and have two little dogs (Jupiter and Lila) who will likely say hello. Please enquire with us if you have a dog you are travelling with, as we are a pet-friendly accommodation.

An excellent stay. Comfortable, clean, an unusual and pleasing house in an ideal location.
We had a great time exploring Brisbane and surrounds from this great place to stay. Super convenient for buses and trains to get wherever you'd like to go. Lovely local places to eat. Comfy, well appointed and secure- would love to stay again for another holiday. Lovely host.
This is our second stay at this great place where we are very comfortable and our dog can stay with us safely. The hosts are generous and kind and the unit is set up really well with everything you need for day to day life.
Classy and comfortable - we look forward to next time
Great accomodation for my wife and I and our dog. The unit was clean, classy and comfortable. Some many thoughtful and clever ideas went into making this a lovely stay and we look forward to staying again.
Super clean, bright unit with amazing facilities, and great fenced yard for the fur-babies. Close to Southbank, hospitals and shop - thanks so much for everything!!
Fabulous spot. Walking distance to good food and coffee plus easy access to all of Brisbane. Perfect couple space. Lovely hosts. And our dogs loved it too. We were vety happy to find it lived up to the photos. We'd def stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean, nice layout and convenient location. Check in and out was seamless. We enjoyed the back yard patio as well. Lovely hosts.
We enjoyed this cute and comfortable place. It had everything we needed for a 1-week stay. The space is private, with a lovely outdoor area and outlook on to a calming garden and lawn. Letitia was great with communication, and check-in was easy with the lockbox. We’d recommend this stay, and have already booked our next stay here.
Great place that had everything we needed, privacy, comfort and our dog was most welcome. Hosts were lovely, friendly to deal with and very responsive to any questions.
Thanks for having us.
This was the perfect location for restaurants, grocery and adventure
We went to South Bank and caught the free ferry, the kitty cat. We then decided to pay the .50 cent ferry and discover the river. . we would highly recommend this stay.
Very clean and tidy with everything you need. Kitchen and bathroom good size with everything included that you could possibly need, also including a large range of complimentary items. Loved the welcome and the soft linen bed sheets.
