"Room was spacious and clean. Dinner at the hotel was okay - wished more vegetarian options were offered. Buffet breakfast was disappointing as the buffet was a mess from previous customers - had to ask for more bowls/plates and there were no more bread, pastries, cheeses, etc and the buffet itself was dirty. And this was at the 9 am time slot and there was still 30 min for customers to come and have breakfast. Mountain view was gorgeous. Only nearby shop was a coop grocer. Hallway carpets in reception area needed vacuuming, "

"We had a lovely stay at this hotel - the staff were all incredibly friendly and very welcoming to us and our dog. We ate once in the hotel for dinner and the curry was delicious, we also ate from the food van outside on our arrival day and the burgers hit the spot. We had an absolutely spectacular view from our room of the loch and surrounding mountains, the seating area in front of the windows was a nice touch as we enjoyed having our coffee here each morning. The hotel is a great base for exploring the surrounding areas of Glencoe and Fort William, however I would only recommend if you have a car (free parking is also a nice touch). I will say the only downside was while the rooms appeared clean, we found rubbish in the drawers and previous guests dirty socks.. this being said, I can appreciate this was a minor oversight, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. "

"Overall, we had a good stay at The Garrison and most aspects of the hotel were positive. The location is excellent for exploring Fort William, and the main facilities were clean and well presented. Apart from parking, everything else met expectations and the staff were generally helpful. However, there were a few downsides. The single sofa bed was very uncomfortable and not suitable for a good night’s sleep. Also, there was ongoing construction work which started quite early around 8am — this was a bit disruptive, especially if you had the window open as some dust could come into the room. Another small inconvenience was the access to reception. Having to go through multiple doors made it feel less straightforward than it should be, especially when arriving with luggage. Overall, a decent stay with a few areas that could be improved to make the experience much better."

"Breakfast was good. The room was small. We rented the tiny room. TV remote did not work. TV was very small."

"Food was great and evening dinners in particular. Staff were excellent and attentive. Island walk was lovely and pool excellent and empty when we used it. Very relaxing."

"Most firm and uncomfortable bed I’ve slept on. Bathroom had a dreadful sickening smell and a leak (a little water on the floor)- room 8. The one thing I did like was the view, amazing view, but given the other things it was not worth £125 for just this view. Staff were very nice, bar was lovely with a nice selection of alcohol and the breakfast was very good- fresh selection of fruit, cereal, pastries, juices, toast and choice of hot option from the menu, e.g a roll, full cooked breakfast. "A brief but very pleasant stay with our family at the Onich. We stayed in a little standalone corrage next to the hotel and it was very comfortable. The only downside was that the only bathroom was upstairs via the bedroom and the property was facing a main road so we had to be very cautious leaving it with our children. The staff were wonderful; very warm and friendly and the food was excellent. "
