Road construction immediately behind property was extremely annoying, noisy, and made it hard to enjoy our stay. It went in from 6am -at least 6 pm everyday. Large tractors, semis and other construction vehicles back and forth all day long. The sliding back door did not lock properly and we had to cut an old mop pile to fit into the track to prevent the door from being opened from the outside. On the 2nd day, one of the very old smoke detectors started chirping, and even after changing the battery it would not stop. Because it was not wired but rather just mounted on the ceiling, we moved it to the outside shed until the last day of our stay. Because of the ongoing extensive road construction, the Internet did not work for several hours on 2 of the 4 days of our stay.
