My husband and I needed a quiet place to relax and this little place was just the ticket! Breathtaking view through the floor to ceiling windows! That's what sold us on this place. It was a great spot to sit and watch the sunrise, read a good book and soak in the relaxing atmosphere. The place is clean, spacious bedroom and bathroom. It is a short 5 min drive to Snug Harbour. We explored the island but were always happy to return. However, there were some things that I would like to address. The address on the app is incorrect and leads you to the neighbour's place. I would have liked 2 face cloths and access to more pillows. I would have also like contacting the owner through the app on my phone. There was a bit of confusion until I was able to access my messages on my laptop. Otherwise, clear communication, European clean and thoughtfully decorated. Everything was clean and pristine. Waking up in the morning to that view had to be the most breathtaking thing. It's so picturesque and unreal. The neighborhood was quiet and very homey islandy. I went into town the first night to Bowen Island Pub. They were playing live music, the vibes were great and lively, and the food was delicious. Before that I went grocery shopping at The Ruddy Potato which has more specialized healthy food items (for vegans, vegetarians, and health conscious) and then to the Snug Cove General Store that had everything you need from ketchup to sausages and breakfast potatoes.Just a quick tip for those staying here, you do have to cross the ferry and if you're most likely crossing with your car the ferry was 40 USD. That caught me by surprise but luckily I was only staying the weekend and the price includes roundtrip from the mainland to Bowen Island and back. The house is also down somewhat of a steep driveway hill and they suggest not parking close to the house to avoid getting blocked in. So you will have to park on the street. Anyhow, none of what I listed are problems or concerns but just being in the know. What matters is the stay was clean, comfy, quiet, and breathtaking.
