I have been coming here since the 1990's for an astronomy weekend each fall. This was the second time we were able to stay in the spring to do some Milky Way photography. The staff is always wonderful and welcoming. Beds are pretty comfortable and the rooms are always clean.

It was a nice hotel, I loved the theme and decor, larger rooms, clean. It had a pool being refinished and one of the restaurants was closed for remodeling as well. I wish they had stated the price for the dog. I think it is pricey though for what it is. It is located in Borrego Springs and because there are not many hotels, people seek that one most. It could also be that we caught it in a transition phase and they are upgrading a lot of things. As for what it is, at the moment I was there, $160-$180 would have been ideal.

Western Themed very cute and well kept. Pool was perfect nightly retreat. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Facility had some negatives that would have been good to know before booking. Main pool was not available awaiting permit. Restaurant was “under construction” no indication of this just closed. AC in the older rooms froze over in 95 degree weather I do not recommend those rooms. Moved to a slightly more modern room AC was great. Staff was accommodating and friendly.

The rooms and facility were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Only complaint is that the refrigerator in my room froze all my food and drinks. The temperature dial was broken.
