From Bogogno, it's about 35 miles (56 kilometers) to the southeast to Milan and 40 miles (64 kilometers) to the northeast to Lake Como.
While it can be tempting to simply sit back and relax when holidaying in Bogogno, remember, Piedmont's treasure-trove of natural and man-made attractions await. Don't miss the Centro Sportivo and Museo del Rubinetto in San Maurizio d'Opaglio, around 10 miles (16 kilometers) distance from Bogogno. Another idea is to go to Stresa. It's about 16 miles (26 kilometers) from Bogogno and is home to the Villa Ducale and Villa Pallavicino Park (Parco della Villa Pallavicino).
Approximately 7 miles (11 kilometers) to the north of Bogogno is Arona, a regional center where you can explore Arona City Hall, Villa Ponti and Chiesa di Santa Marta. If you have enough time, check out Chiesa di San Graziano, Arona Castle (La Rocca) and Statue of Saint Charles Borromeo (Sancarlone) before you return to Bogogno.
Many people who explore Piedmont are often delighted to discover the wide range of farms, open-air exhibits and open-air museums dotted throughout the region. Holy places are the best places to experience a region's spiritual traditions. The churches around Bogogno are certainly no exception.
If you love to kick back while you are on vacation, Piedmont has some great options that will suit you, such as shore fishing and cycling. Why not check out some wintersports here? Snowboarding is an idea. So is skiing.
You will be sad to say "Ciao" (farewell) to this appealing spot.
