Tucked in a peaceful cul-de-sac, minutes from the spectacular Govett’s Leap and Pulpit Rock lookouts, Magnolia cottage is a cosy retreat with everything you need for your visit to the Blue Mountains.
Whether you prefer hiking through the magnificent national park, exploring the charming Blackheath village, or simply enjoying a glass of wine in front of the fire, Magnolia cottage is the perfect base for a couple, small family, or group of friends to sample all the Blue Mountains has to offer.
The recently renovated house is fully equipped for your comfort and enjoyment, including:
Living area - The beautiful and light-filled open-plan living and dining area is always cosy with a wood fire and split air-condition. There are plenty of books and games to choose from while you relax in front of the fire. The dining area comfortably seats 6 people, while the north-facing, sunny alcove is the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee with views over the garden.
Kitchen - The stylish kitchen is furnished with stone counters, custom cabinetry, and a large hardwood island bench and equipped with everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal or just a simple snack including, gas stove top, oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster.
Bathroom - The modern bathroom is fully equipped with a shower, toilet, vanity and heated towel rail. Towels are provided.
Bedroom 1 and 2- The two queen bedrooms come with quality bed linen, built-in robe and air conditioning.
Bedroom 3/Study - This peaceful study includes a laptop desk and chair, with a sofa that easily converts into comfortable double bed.
For children - If you are travelling with infants, we can provide a highchair, travel cot, bassinet and baby bath on request.
Laundry- Washing machine, iron and ironing board available.
Garden- The back door leads to a sheltered deck, opening on to established gardens with a range of cold-climate trees. With the native bush just metres from the doorstep, Magnolia cottage gardens are visited by all manner of native birds, and kangaroos can often be found at the end of the street.
Guests have exclusive access to the entire house and gardens. There is no guest access to the garage.
Guests have unlimited access to the high speed WiFi.

If you prefer just to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Magnolia Cottage we will leave you alone to enjoy your stay. Access to the cottage via a key-box means you can check in at your convenience.

Blackheath village is a hub of boutique shops, vibrant cafes and bakeries, and a selection of art galleries, with regular weekend markets, live music and family events. The village centre is an easy 15 minute walk or short drive from the cottage. The Campbell Rhododendron gardens are charming at any time of year and also just a short walk away.
For children, Blackheath has 3 parks with a variety of play areas within a short drive or walk from the cottage.
Access to the Blue Mountains national park couldn’t be easier, with the start of the picturesque Pope’s Glen hike just 5 minutes’ walk from your doorstep. The rest of Blackheath’s stunning lookouts and hiking trails are a maximum of 10 minutes drive away. We are more than happy to provide local information and recommendations on hiking, rock climbing, and other outdoor activities in the area.
Magnolia cottage is a 1.5 hour drive from central Sydney. If you are travelling by public transport, there is a bus stop 2 minutes walk away, on the Hat Hill Road / Clarence Road intersection. Alternatively, Blackheath train station is a 15 – 20 minute walk.
