"The hotel was ideal for a relaxing weekend as there are not many amenities around. Persons are the pool bar were very friendly and fun. The hotel could benefit from a greater variety of food options."

"The beach view was excellent! However, the staff was poor, I think mostly not trained well…. Upon checking, we received no information about the enmities of the property, or map, or even a card for our room keys, w the WiFi information on it. It seemed every question we asked the staff, they did not know, & to ask someone else. A late checkout cost was exorbitant The bartender had to look up how to make a Tanqueray and Tonic! Then needed help finalizing the bill for me. The next morning when I asked about the excursions on the chalkboard next to the reception desk, no one knew anything about them…. The staff was nice enough, but again, I think poorly trained, & not very helpful"

"the front desk personel were very helpful and pleasent. the concierge desk lady was rude and did not seem to care about assisting us with their advertised paid property tour. she clearly did not care who i was. i would not let rude staff member affect the other great staff and change my option to consider the hotel for another stay. our room was far from the restaurant and i asked to upgrade at our cost however there were no rooms available. seemed untrue as there were very little cars and people on this huge property. this hotel and property has alot of potential and wish to see it be better"

"I was really disappointed with my stay at this hotel. I arrived around 6 PM and almost everything was already closed, which was frustrating after a long day of traveling. The gift shop was supposed to open the next day, but it never did, leaving guests with no place to even grab basic necessities. The food was honestly terrible and the menu options were extremely limited. On top of that, most of the staff outside of the front desk were not helpful or welcoming at all. The front desk employees were the only positive part of the experience. What shocked me most was that I couldn’t even get a simple glass of water at the resort. There was no water provided in the room, and I actually had to leave the property just to buy water elsewhere. For a resort, that level of service is unacceptable. Overall, the experience did not match the expectations or price, and I would not stay here again."

"Sunset Reef was a beautiful, well-appointed house walking distance to the beach. However, that beach has very strong currents and wasn’t the prettiest beach but we still enjoyed long walks on it. It was so relaxing falling asleep to crashing waves. The property manager Katy Ann was very patient with us as we ran late because of a missed connection and also stopped along the way to pick up dinner and some groceries. The owner was also quickly responsive to any of my questions before the trip. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others."

"It was an okay stay. Wifi did not work so I had to leave the resort to actually work on my laptop. Not very many dining options except for the Waves restaurant. No telephone in my room. When asked at the front desk the agent said she did not know why. Property needs some updating. Once updated I might visit again."

"Everything was wonderful. Location on the island was ideal for us because we traveled all over and it is central . Location is not near any restaurants or grocery store but Ashley had stocked essentials for us . We walked to restaurants nearby but probably 20 minute walk, we enjoyed it. There is a rental car agency right next door and we had a car for a day to get to Argyle falls . Taxis are expensive so be sure to include in budget. Is right on water and pool was clean and not too hot or cold . Bonus was the sea turtle that we saw at night laying her eggs on the beach"
