"I had mixed feelings about this property. I will start with the positives.The location is great and host communication was excellent in the beginning. The house is situated close to town and adjacent to the ocean with a partial view of the sea. The home was nicely decorated with essentials provided. Two stories with a clean pool and very spacious bedrooms. A nicely furnished balcony and pool area with lush landscaping. The bedrooms had air conditioning and this is a must as it is extremely humid and hot day and night during our stay. The negative sides of the property: Yes, it’s close to water but there is a busy noisy road just behind the home in front of water and it is very loud in the early morning. The adjacent home close to property has loud barking dogs every morning, sleeping in is quite difficult. I would still rate it a 4 to 5 star except for our last night there. The carbon monoxide detector in my bedroom went off at night , I had to open door and window to get it to stop. Obviously i was afraid to sleep in the house. I contacted host but they were unable to resolve the issue by text and said it was probably a malfunction and not to be concerned. After sending the loud alarm video via a video to the host, I was told it was probably a malfunction. Unfortunately it would go off repeatedly,I was forced to sleep outside and wish someone would have come over and checked the property. "

"The room was super clean and the staff was so friendly. The pool was one of the best amenities, as it was super spacious and the swim up bar was convenient and awesome. The breakfast was phenomenal and there was so much to choose from. I’ve never felt so full and energized from a hotel breakfast before. It was also a 5 minute was to playa negra which was super awesome for my partner and I. Hands down one of the best hotels I’ve ever been in. I Highly recommend!"

"A great hotel, nearby convenience store is very handy, the restaurant onsite serves really good food, being a solo traveler it was great that I didn’t need to leave the property. Beach is lovely and hotel has sunbeds and towels. Bike hire is $9 for the day, great to get around. Room was cleaned daily, my only disappointment was the curtains don’t cover the window…. I was in Tropical 10, I recommend ear plugs for the slight outside noise for this particular room but was fine once they were in. All round I had a great experience and would book again."

"Love puerto viejo and neighboring beaches. The property has an amazing, verdant yard. The beach is right across the small road and you can hear it and see it at all times. Such a delight! Extra thankful for the ability to bring the dog. I came with a tica friend (her dog, her favorite beach area). Both of us would rent this place again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! "

"Staff was great, casitas were cute, pool was nice. The rooms however are not very sound proof. Other noisy guests there in the pool or nearby rooms can be heard very well. You can hear TV and other noises in the next casita. "

"The hosts were so responsive throughout our planning and our stay. The house was fantastic, exactly as pictured and described. It was spacious and kitchen well stocked if you wanted to cook. So much outdoor seating to hang out, watch birds and howler monkeys. Easy to grab an uber to town or tuck tuck/uber home. "
