"What a beautiful location! We used the trains and buses so the hotel was very convenient. Someone was there to greet us upon arrival but there is a self check-in that is helpful when arriving at various times. Breakfast was available at an extra charge but can be eaten there or taken with you. The shower is in the room so with four people there was a little less privacy and space but beds were comfortable and it is very quiet. This was a great place for us to branch out from this little town...

"This hotel was fantastic, from the staff (extremely friendly and accommodating), to the hotel rooms (beds comfortable, pillows/sheets super soft, space decorated nicely), to the amenities (spa). We had the half board added onto our package which meant we got breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was a buffet style; with a ton of delicious options to select from. The lady attending breakfast was extremely friendly and attentive. We assumed the dinner would be similar to breakfast; buffet style but were pleasantly surprised as it was a seated dinner where you selected from the half board menu. The dinner every day was remarkable. If you are planning on travelling to this area I highly recommend staying here as you will not be disappointed! "

The only thing be aware you cannot get there with a car so you have to park your car at the bottom of the mountain and take the gondola which was a great experience. "It was super close to railroad tracks but never heard a sound. The walk to/from train station is steep, partially gravel and you have to lift your suitcase over the greased cog tracks as you cross. There is a nice hike to Staubbach Falls but the falls were not very large due to it being fall. Workers were nice. Evidently there was a free breakfast but they didn’t share that until we were checking out. "

"The staff here was super helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is great- surrounded by mountains even if we didn’t technically have a mountain facing room. The building itself is beautiful. Walking around the first floor, you see lots of lovely common spaces. It feels very grand and fancy. I would definitely stay here again if I’m in Wengen again."
