The lodge restaurant had excellent food and the breakfast buffet (not included) was amazing. It did not bother us, but the rooms are very basic, clean but older. There are no elevators. You are paying for the convenience and beauty of the location. Because of the location, we were able to get up early and visit General Sherman and other sites prior to the onslaught of tourists. Well worth it. The view was also nice and the sunset spectacular! For us the location could not be beat, just a few minutes from Sequoia Park entrance. Grab a coffee and breakfast bowl from the Totem Market.
