Step inside this authentic fisherman’s cottage and you’ll be greeted by a welcoming open-plan lounge/dining area that has been thoughtfully designed with comfort and charm. Take a seat in the lounge area and take a moment to appreciate the traditional décor before heading to the cheerful kitchen to whip up a seafood dinner. Enjoy meals together at the table in the dining area, or head out into the wonderful courtyard to enjoy a delightful al fresco meal. Afterwards, head back to the lounge area to pour yourself a glass of wine by the crackling wood burner, which is set in a striking stone fireplace. At the end of the day, climb the oak staircase and you’ll find two elegant king-size bedrooms and a peaceful single room that doubles as a study. There’s a sleek shower room on the ground floor, as well as a family bathroom on the first floor, which has a shower over bath. Spend a lovely morning strolling through quintessential cobbled streets of the fishing village of Appledore (0.5 miles), and stop to take in the stunning views across the Torridge and Taw Estuary to Instow.
