With its long, flat promenade, golden sand and dunes, Instow offers something for everyone. The area is a must for water sports, sailing enthusiasts and fishermen, whilst walkers and cyclists will enjoy the famous Tarka Trail which passes through the village. Dining out is a real treat as Instow has an excellent selection of restaurants and cafés, many overlooking the estuary. There is also a renowned delicatessen/village shop where you can pick up some fantastic local produce. All clean and well presented. Very good welcome pack which we appreciated. We missed the no towels provided part, but Lucy came to the rescue. Very comfortable beds and beautiful linen, always a treat! Would suggest an update on the bathroom but the rest was as described. So close to the beach and handy for restaurants and pubs. A really comfortable stay, located 2 minutes walk from the beach and restaurants - literally across the road from the local pub. We had everything we needed - comfortable sofas, wifi and Sky TV. The cottage is cosy and warm. Parking was unrestricted at the time we visited and always spaces available. Others mentioned issues with the cottage bathroom. There is no shower curtain and you have to hold the shower head. There is plentiful hot water though, and good pressure. The bath is huge and luxurious! Our only suggestion would be to replace the feather pillows. The huge beds were really comfortable and each room had plenty storage space. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to vising again. A lovely week in Midships. Just a couple of negatives. Although property was very clean it smelled really damp and the walls in the dining area felt wet.
