They have good air conditioning for the room during my stay, outside is hot temperate , just next to the tram stop.

Great hotel with on site parking. Super friendly helpful staff. Great quality WiFi (for some webinars I needed to do). Across the road from tram stop 8mins from city centre.

Convenient Location
The best thing about this hotel is it’s location right across the street from a tram line. The hotel provided a code for free transportation into downtown Bern- just a few stops away. The room was reasonably comfortable. Nice TV, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi worked. The downside was that the bathroom lacked privacy (no door), the shower had a weird step, and the grout was grungy. We appreciated free parking but space is limited. Garage was full and it was nearly impossible to turn around to exit. Tip is to arrive early to get a spot in garage or in the street. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Overall a decent place to rest your head for a night.

Convenient Location, Friendly Staff!
For my trip the location was ideal with a tram connection just across the street with regular service and directly to our offices. My only regret is that I didn't take my Spa gear as I would have surely enjoyed their wellness area. Their receptionists were particularly nice and had a good laugh with them Lovely people.

The AC was amazing!! The bed was comfortable. There is a public transport stop right outside the hotel and the complimentary passes to use it was a nice plus. Front desk staff was extremely helpful!

Great location, hotel advised us of an app that gave us free public transport. Location was very close to the old center of the city. Quiet neighborhood, did not get any noise from the street. I would prefer to have had a room with a view over the city facing east or southeast, but that was not available. Car parking available for free. One odd thing was that there was no door separating the shower / bathroom from the bedroom; toilet is separate though

Quite stay at nice property
We again enjoyed a good stay at this property. The room is spacious enough, this time we had a Gurten mountain view and although the room was over the main street, we could not hear any noise. I wish the hotel included breakfast in its rates. I like the fact that parking is easy and free.

No frills business hotel
A basic business hotel. It's a 30 minute walk to the city center. It needs to get better wifi and have USB ports at the desk and bedside tables.

Pretty new with stylish decorations, but the room is bit small & only one pillow provided. There is free parking at the hotel. Nothing too special as I only stayed one night and didn’t visit cafe as there is no free breakfast for the booking.

Lovely staff at the front desk, fresh feeling decor in the building and room. Comfortable beds, fresh towels and good water pressure. The free transit pass was great, super convenient to get to downtown (the tram came frequently and it is a very quick trip)

Biggest plus is the airconditioned rooms
I always use this hotel when on business in Bern during the summer because it is air conditioned --- a big need in the very hot summer weeks. Rooms are clean and practical, but beds a bit uncomfortable. Reception staff is just average. The tram ride to downtown is just a few minutes so I don't mind the hotel's location outside the city center.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful and very willing to help with our trip. The room was very expensive, cramped, which of course seems typical in Switzerland regarding budget travelers. However, the people working at this hotel more than made up for the other shortcomings.

It was an amazing choice and I'm glad we picked this hotel for our stay in Bern. It was only two nights and we had a car so we needed parking lot included. The lady at the front desk was really helpful and check-in was a breeze. The room was pretty basic, but clean, comfortable and with all the amenities we needed. The bathtub design was a little too modern (made of travertine with different levels that served both as steps and bench) but overall bathroom was good. We had a nice floor to ceiling window with nice views of the neighborhood. The best part: We were given complementary unlimited public transportation passes for the whole family! that was a nice touch, specially since the tram stop is right across the street and you're in Bern's old town in 10 minutes. Beats driving and parking. Front desk recommended a restaurant that we tried and had the best rösti of our trip! Breakfast was pretty good too, I had the full version and my wife the "small" (no hot items). This place is not in the center of town but with free tram passes it really doesn't matter. Is much quieter at night and that's a plus specially if travelling with kids. I recommend the Ambassador Hotel 100% !

I stayed here whilst travelling to and from France and Germany. Out of the 6 hotels, I stayed in over the Christmas and new year period, this was by far my favourite. The room was really clean and the bed was comfy with great pillows. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. I was able to park outside the hotel for no charge and I made use of the free public transport card that is provided by the hotel. As the weather was not good, I caught the tram into the centre. The stop is literally opposite the hotel. You can also use the ticket for the funicular railway. The hotel provided a really good map of the centre and information on the trams. Finally the breakfast was really good. The coffee was the best I'd had and I felt that it was well worth the money. I have already recommended this hotel to friends.

Had a lovely stay, great location as short tram ride (stop outside hotel door) into city. Found swimming pool very cold for a hotel pool. Room and bed very comfortable except for pillows ( this is probably a personal thing though). Enjoyed a meal in the Japanese restaurant.

Staff insulted me, I was proved right, never a word of excuse. they certainly could never work at the Schweizerhof ! corner of the room was a minimal bathroom, no privacy. decoration tasteless and cold. the restaurant served Tilapia, this is junkfish ! I certainly was unhappy there.

Nice hotel, opposite of tram stop!
Clean room, comfortable beds and pillow , only problem was , for us ( 2 adults and 1 child , the room didn't have space to walk around. But overall really happy with cleanliness and great customer service. From Bern railway station, take tram no 9 going towards warbern , the stop for hotel is sconegg, so easy to find.

Good apart from faulty internet
The hotel is right opposite Tram #9 stop, about 10 mins Bern central station. Staff are friendly and speak good English (as is usual in Swiss hotels). I didn’t have a car but I liked the idea of free parking. The room was modern and clean. I stayed on the 2nd floor in a single bed room. I liked the large floor-to-ceiling windows but they needed net curtains, as I didn’t like the idea of people at the tram stop peering up into my room. The size of the room was fine – much better than many others in Bern (e.g. Metropole or Kreuz). The room temperature was a bit warm but a nice contrast to the 0 degree temperature outside. Room access was via a key (rather than card). The room didn’t come with an ironing board, but reception were happy for me to grab one from their store room. I liked the positioning of the socket by the desk and bed. It was one of those Swiss triple sockets - fine for native plugs but could not take more than one bulky power adaptor. The room had a minibar and kettle with tea & coffee sachets. It didn’t have a bottle of complementary water or any biscuits. When the internet was working it was excellent. But it took a very long time to connect. Once it took over 1 hour to connect (I restarted my laptop 3 times to increase my chances of success). It simply wouldn’t take me to the landing page and timed out instead. Reception admitted that the internet was faulty and they in contact their supplier about it. The bathroom had an actual bath! This is unusual for
