Located 18 miles south of Palm Springs, Bermuda Dunes Airport in Indian Wells is a public-use airport catering for private jets, business and charter flights, as well scenic pleasure flights. Privately owned, Bermuda Dunes Airport services the Greater Palm Springs area including Palm Desert, La Quinta, and Indio, home of the legendary Coachella music and arts festival.
There are around a 100 aircraft based at Bermuda Dunes Airport, ranging from small single-engine planes to larger corporate jets. The airport also has its own flight school, Desert West Aviation, as well as Desert Jet, a local charter airline servicing the Greater Palm Springs Area. In addition to this, aircraft rental and flight instruction are also available at Bermuda Dunes Airport.
As Bermuda Dunes Airport is a private airport, there are limited facilities for the public. There is an airport car park on-site, and, free public parking is also available just outside the gates.

There is a number of upmarket golf and spa resorts within a few miles of the airport, as well as major international chain hotels including Marriott and Holiday Inn along Highway 111, the desert's main road.
