The landlord is very helpful. The appartment is relatively close to U-bahn (Pankstrasse) and S-Bahn (Wollankstr) stations. So public transportation is easily available. Week ticket for U and S-bahn can be purchased just at just around the corner of Soldinerstr. and Prinzenallee at a tobacco and newspaper kiosk.
