Very nice hotel.
My room had an excellent view. It also had an in-room safe that was large enough for a laptop and a kettle (many German hotels have neither). The hotel is a seven minute walk from the railway station but is up a steep hill. My biggest problem is that the facility for left luggage is only an unlocked cupboard in the lobby.

Breakfast buffet was good in variety and quality. Sofa bed was uncomfortable and small. Shower was clean but shower enclosure quite small. Staff were polite and helpful. Overall, my family had a pleasant stay.

Excellent and plentiful breakfast. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is nicely decorated, very clean. It is a beautiful area to be in. If we ever go back to Berchtesgaden, I would stay there again. Thank you

Very Nice Hotel
We liked our stay at this hotel. It was perhaps a 5-6 minute walk to the middle of old town Berchtesgaden, so the location was very friendly and convenient. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff for that was excellent. The person who checked us in was beneficial as well. Our room was spotless and comfortable. Possibly, the only downside was no air conditioning. It wasn't a big issue for late September, but in the middle of summer, it might be something to consider. It is a very comfortable and friendly hotel close to the heart of the old town!

I’m not someone who typically writes reviews but this hotel deserves it. 1. The rooms were incredible. Spotless, serviced daily, and extremely clean. The views also speak for themselves 2. The staff was incredible. Huge shout out to Franz for the great hiking recommendations and overall hospitality. 3. The location is incredible for anyone wanting easy access to anything Berchtesgaden. 4. The breakfast was delicious as well. Tons of selection and great coffee. If I could rate this place higher than 5 stars, I would. Cannot recommend this spot enough.

Awesome experience!
Our visit was excellent! The owner was so friendly and helpful - I've never had the kind of personable experience of being walked to my room. The hotel room was spacious and the bathroom was amazing with a huge tub. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully displayed. Overall, a unique and wonderful visit. Thank you!!

This hotel has the BEST staff with regard to friendliness, attentiveness, knowledge and helpfulness. We cannot say enough about how well trained they are and the property is in great shape. Everything was done to ensure that the guests have a wonderful time. The breakfasts are filling and have a variety of foods for all tastes. Our room was quiet, clean and had comfortable beds/bedding. I would recommend this hotel for families, couples, and singles. It was very comfortable in all aspects.

Overbooked
After booking my reservation months ahead I arrive to be told they are overbooked and they moved me to another inferior hotel that didn’t offer parking, WIFI, or air conditioning, fans or a window that could open. Unacceptable!

Stayed over one night on our way west from Innsbruck. This is a 500 yeat old building with a lot of charm. Very well maintained and clean. Close to several restaraunts and shopping. Parking is in the nearby public garage and is 13 euro per night. We didn't eat in the restaraunt but it looked clean and they had a pretty good spread for breakfast. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We would stay there again on our next visit.

Great little spot close to the center of town.
Small feeling hotel a moments walk from the heart of Berchtesgaden. I had a twin room which at first glance seemed small but it was perfect for what I needed. The breakfast in the morning has a large selection and there was enough seating for everyone who needed a place to eat while I was there.

Not worth the cost.
Incredibly hot and humid in the rooms. Minimal airflow. Had to sleep with windows open, which lead onto a shared balcony - so beware potential neighbours wandering in (did not happen), but odd to have a large balcony without clear dividers between about 6 rooms (half dividers for some privacy - unless others can look straight into your room). Overall, I'm not keen to go back. Parking was atrocious, if you weren't parked at the hotel by 4pm, then you wouldn't find a space. They have very few spaces and people will double park you, you won't know who has double parked you either. It's a waiting game. The receptionist seemed a tad intense and I didn't feel at ease with her at all - not a fan. Most of the other staff seemed super friendly and cheery, which helped it be more enjoyable. The room was cleaned on a day, with cleaning stuff left behind and some rubbish just left folded into the bed sheet (I assume both simply by accident, but very odd). We mentioned the shower, which overflowed / leaked if water went onto the glass (mentioned on day 1), but nothing changed. They said they'd send the janitor, but literally nothing changed and nobody spoke to us about what had happened (if anything). The breakfast choice was good, would highly recommend it for that and the beautiful view of course, if in one of the rooms with mountain view. Unfortunately, for the price and service, I wouldn't stay again.

Great location in centre of town within minutes of shops and restaurants. Amazing mountain views from hotel terrace. The breakfast is very good with lots of choices. About a dozen car parking places so arrive as early as possible.

Quaint Hotel close to city center
Upon arrival we were greeted by Dimitry. Exceptionally nice man. He offered to repark our vehicle as parking is small. He got us checked in and showed us to our room. The whole time explaining odds and ends of the hotel. He pointed us in the right direction of delicious Bavarian cuisine. Hotel breakfest is great, all staff is extremely friendly. The Eagle’s nest was in view from the Balcony rooms. The Female receptionist(cannot remember name unfortunatley) was amazingly nice. She directed us into the town for different things to do, as being there in Mid-April, some things were closed due to snowy conditions. My literal one complaint is almost stupid....we had a small child with us who drinks milk in the evening. The room had no small refrigerator to keep milk chilled, luckily it got cool enough at night to leave on the balcony with no issue. This is no way makes the hotel a bad experience. Everything was above and beyond my expectation. The view upon waking up the first morning will take your breath away

great location looking over town
this hotel is in a great location looking over the town and only a short walk from the railway station. The staff at the hotel were excellent, most could speak english and were friendly and helpful. Our room was okay; it was large, had a nice little balcony with views of town, bed was average. The actual hotel building could do with a few upgrades but the staff made up for that.

Lovely hotel.
I had a great stay at this hotel. The manager allowed me to check in 12 pm which was very nice since I was wet due to bike touring on the rain. Comfortable room and nice breakfast. Beautiful view from the mountains. Highly recommended mgar
