Very disinterested staff. Took awhile for someone to answer the door and let me in. The bedding was subpar. Worn out pillows and ill fitting sheets. Won’t be returning.

Very charming Victorian houses. But lacking some basic hospitality. Very unfriendly owner & skimpy breakfast offerings. Left to figure out needs on your own. Coffee cups cream water not restocked for morning. Basic bathroom toiletries - left over. Almost empty soap shampoo & no lotion. Not a lot of niceties for feeling special. Especially for the price.

Great location being right across the street from the beach ! The manor had amazing breakfast options and lots of rooms and nooks to sit and relax. Some of the rooms have stained glass windows and street lights or sunlight may bother some fyi.

I wanted to pamper my wife to a special place after camping in different cities around the Michigan shore. The Yelton Manor was a beautiful surprise for her. We had a great stay and the staff was so welcoming.

We had a great stay at the manor! Breakfast was good. Valentino was a huge help to my husband making sure my flowers/chocolates were delivered to my room as a surprise for me. Parking was a little tricky. Loved the beach was so close!

The outside was not well maintained. The room was ok bathroom was exceptionally small. Little space to put your toiletries and little space for towels. The room had no thermostat but had a stand alone unit and the room was exceptionally cold. Turned that off during our stay and the room was still cold. Not enough parking spaces.

We loved the beautiful house of the bed & breakfast- have never stayed in one before. Lake view and walkable to many shops and restaurants. We drove mostly due to the heat wave we had. Nice breakfast every morning. One day the owner was sick and we had to fend for ourself but she gave everybody a 50$ credit on our stay. We have not received yet, but just checked out. Overall the rooms were very nice and area quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay here, and can't wait to return! The room, bed, bathroom, jetted tub, and furniture were so comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast is truly out of this world. We did have some issues getting some amenities (toilet paper) refilled, but, it had to be because the inn was so busy. You walk to the beach while you are here, you are so close! Cannot wait to return.

Our room was spotless, super comfortable, and the bathroom had tons of space. The location couldn’t have been better — close to public beaches and just minutes from the downtown area, which made exploring really easy and fun. A couple of things didn’t quite hit the mark. We were supposed to get the hotel’s famous brownies each night, and even after asking, they never showed up. The breakfast was the same all three days, so it felt a bit repetitive. But honestly, none of that was a deal‑breaker. I’d happily stay here again — I’m not much of a breakfast person, and my waistline probably didn’t need those brownies anyway. Overall, it was a great stay in a great location.

The home was very nice, even though some areas needed to be cleaned more often. We liked our room very much and it was comfortable and cozy. The location was great and near the beaches. However, we were the only guests that night and we felt the innkeeper showed little interest in us and just didn't seem very friendly or welcoming, almost like she wished she didn't have to bother with us. Breakfast, in particular, was disappointing. We didn't get the advertised "great coffee" from Saugatucck, but rather had to get our own coffee from the Kuerig coffeemaker and it was simply Meijers Breakfast blend. The actual breakfast seemed pretty skimpy compared to breakfasts we have experienced at other B & Bs. We were given 2 paper towels as napkins, and had to call her to get salt and pepper and jam for my wife's toast. Plus, the glass on the table was not clean. Even though the house and location were nice, the service seemed mediocre at best.
