  • Enjoy a storied stay at the Wickham House, a picture-postcard mansion located in the heart of Manchester Village. The house is designated historic by the Manchester Historical Society and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The Wickham House was originally built in 1790 as a tavern and later purchased in 1837 by Rev. Dr. Joseph Wickham, legendary headmaster of Burr and Burton. The spectacular historic home has since been renovated to meet the needs of the modern family.

    Amazing location: 300 ft from the Equinox Resort, 5 minutes to Hildene, 15 minutes to Harold Beebe Farm, 15 minutes to Bromley and 30 minutes to Stratton.

    Manchester is a small town in southernwestern Vermont, nestled at the foot of 3,816-foot Mount Equinox. The village has a tranquil old-world atmosphere, while Manchester Center is a shopper's paradise that is completely different from the village with its signs, sights and many shops. Manchester is also home to Hildene, Robert Todd Lincoln's 412-acre summer estate.

    Professionally cleaned between guests. This is a 4 bedroom house, which comfortably sleeps up to 8 people. (one king bed, three queen beds).

    The house is beautifully furnished with period antiques. Comfy couches by the fireplace and big-screen TV. Large wrap-around front porch with rockers. Full gourmet kitchen with everything you need to either cook at home or stroll to the nearby restaurants on Main Street.

    The four bedrooms share two en-suite bathrooms. One bathroom has a clawfoot tub with shower. The second bathroom has an accessible, walk-in shower.

    There is a wet bar located adjacent to the library. Perfect for night caps.
