The very private pool (1m shallow end) is not overlooked and is particularly magical at night with pretty poolside and terrace lighting. A pool heater will soon be installed - ask for details. There is an open-plan living area with a fully equipped modern open-plan kitchen, a large glazed naya (sun room) and a sitting room (with UK satellite 'free-to-air' TV or German TV). Also on the ground floor is bedroom 3 with adjacent modern shower-room. Upstairs are two further bedrooms and a stylish family bathroom. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower-room, a private terrace with those superb views over the sea, hills and the pool terrace below. Outside there is a shady area with built-in barbecue and steps down to the orchard garden. A best supermarket in the area is close by and there are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. Resort area: Green countryside dotted with individual white-washed villas, shady pine woods, citrus groves and vine terracing make a pretty and relaxing setting away from the package tour crowds. Moraira is an attractive resort which retains its local charm. There are 2 safe, sandy beaches with beach-bars, and numerous little rocky coves (calas) up and down the coast. The town has grown from a small fishing village into an attractive high-quality holiday resort whilst managing to hold onto much of its authenticity . . . partly due to the busy local fish market with catches brought in fresh each day by the fishing fleet . . . if you like fish you will love Moraira! There is an abundance of restaurants, bars and smart little shops which crowd around the harbour and popular marina and then meander on down the coast road. San Jaime is on the borders of Moraira, and a little outside Town - but only a couple of minutes - and, whilst benefiting from a peaceful location, it also has the best Supermarket in the area. Local attractions and activities: The beautiful 9-hole Moraira golf-course with excellent poolside bar/restaurant and magical views down to the sea is open to non-members and is within walking distance of the villa, with the popular 18-hole course at Jesus Pobre and the 9-hole course at Javea about 15 minutes away by car. Nearby are tennis courts, squash, water sports, boat hire and trips, horse-riding and go-kart racing. A little further away are the coastal resorts of Javea (15-20 mins. by car) with its beautiful sandy horse-shoe bay bordered by beach bars and restaurants, Denia with its long, sandy beach and pretty Calpe in the other direction. The local wine-making area of the Jalon valley, surrounded by mountains is also about 20 mins. drive away, and from here you can venture further into the spectacular mountain scenery - perfect for those who enjoy walking, cycling or climbing. Moraira is only 45 minutes drive from the livelier Benidorm which is close to Terra Mitica (a Disney style theme park) and Aqualandia Water Park Suitability: Pets will be considered on an individual basis - but we'll do our best to help. Steps from street level to pool terrace may make it unsuitable for those with seriously impaired mobility. We are happy to accept CONSIDERATE smokers and request that you do so only when outside. The villa has hot or cold a/c in the 3 bedrooms and central heating radiators to all main areas, so is warm and comfortable in Winter and cool in summer, and the glazed naya makes the most of the winter sun. Unlike some seaside towns, most of Moraira and nearby Javea's bars and restaurants remain open all year round to welcome the visitors who enjoy the temperate climate of the Costa Blanca. Winter in this area is generally sunny and pleasant. There are a few days where the rain falls, helping to keep the countryside green and fertile, but there are also days where, despite the calendar, you may well be able to get those shorts out and even go for a swim. We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Ra! The Villa is just wonderful. The host has thought of everything and I really do mean everything, it is the best equipped Villa we have stayed at. Our boys loved the pool and would have spent every minute in it if we hadn’t have wanted to visit the many beautiful beaches. They made us promise to get them back to the pool by 2pm every day! The air con in the bedrooms was a godsend too! I believe the host makes improvements to this amazing villa every year, although we cannot see anything that needs improving. The property is very well equipped and in an excellent location, very quiet and only a short way to the beach or shops to the South, with great access to the motorway or mountains to the North out of Benissa. We soon felt very settled and comfortable here. It was an excellent place for our dog as well. We were unlucky with the weather, it being much colder than usual, so were grateful for the property having a decent central heating system. La piscine est superbe et nous avons profité de la vue mer très agréable.La maison ne manque de rien, le rdc s’ouvre presque entièrement permettant ainsi de faire des courants d’air efficaces en cas de grosses chaleurs.Les chambres sont toutes équipées d’une climatisation très bienvenue en période de canicule.James a été très sympathique et réactif, nous a conseillé de bonnes adresses et a facilité au mieux notre séjour.L’emplacement de la maison (comme la plupart dans la région) nécessite d’avoir une voiture, mais les petits centre-villes sont rapidement accessibles et plusieurs supermarchés se trouvent à 10 et 15mn de la maison.Nous recommandons ! ##### Elodie C. We found the villa to be extremely clean and well-equipped and well presented. The owner lived nearby and was always available if required, he also popped round on a regular basis to make sure the pool was maintained. The area, while hilly, was wonderful - mountains and beaches. Moraira is within walking distance and is a lovely town with plenty of restaurants and bars. Location is great, beautiful area to explore, sea nearby and Moraira is a very charming town with good restaurants.
