Rooms are spacious, well lit and with excellent AC. Staff goes above and beyond to make our wishes come true. The restaurant is fabulous serving local dishes with generous portions and great price. The pool is well equipped with comfy lounge chairs and natural shades from a mature landscape. Hotel is of high quality. Very clean, staff was very helpful. Restaurant was also good quality. The area is quiet and there is an echological parke nearby. Access to transportation was through Uber. Service was prompt and courteous. The restaurant of the hotel is particularly bad, very expensive and all the food I was served was over cooked and dry (dry rice, dry grilled fish, dried up pancetta in my carbonatará etc.), they really need a better chef. Mosquitoes everywhere. Street noise at night and in the morning was disruptive to my sleep. AC positioned to blow directly on the bed, which gave me a terrible sinus infection that lasted nearly two weeks. Not sure if it was from bacteria in the AC, or just the cold dry air blowing in me all night long. In any case, it was terrible and nearly ruined my trip. Bed was okay, not great. Bathroom was acceptable. It’s essentially a three star room. I did like the interior courtyard and dining. Would I go back? No. The AC sickness was a deal breaker and the location offered nothing valuable within walking distance. It’s a neat little hotel and I wanted to like it, but can’t recommend it. The price was fair.
