Centrally located near shops & restaurants. Staffs are very helpful & friendly. Beds are simple but comfortable & clean. However, there was certain sewage smell near the windows, may be from outside. It is not the best standard for some but enough for us (5). We enjoy our stay.

Very near hutongs and funky BJ cafes and bars.
I was relocated to this hotel when my first was double -booked, so it was sight unseen. It is entirely a Chinese hotel, same terrible decor, but hey, the rooms were clean, it was right beside the hutong area, and young happy girls at reception, although speaking no English were helpful and resourceful. It seems to be a family run affair and the lady who owns it charming and speaks reasonable English, but not always on duty. The hotel also goes by the name Beijing Tang Fu Nanluoguxiang Hotel, and that is what is written on the front of the building. The actual hotel lobby is on the street and easy to miss ( see my photo) and the main building is set back. It is located near the start of Gulou Dongdajie, eastern end, around the corner. There's no restaurant on site, so no breakfasts. But you are in the heart of Beijing, take a walk around the block, you'll find a street vendor. Or stock up on some food items from the WuMart 2 doors away. In the nearby hutongs you will find funky cafes that do a mean coffee, but tend to open at 10am. There are also a couple of trendy bars with music around the corner as well.Great location, I enjoyed my stay there.
