This time, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade which made my stay even more enjoyable. The staff are always friendly and willing to help with anything I need. While I didn't have the chance to use the gym or swimming pool this time, I have in the past and they were both great amenities. Unfortunately, this time the tunnel to the adjacent building was closed, which meant I had to go outside to walk around. However, this was a minor inconvenience and didn't take away from my overall enjoyment of the hotel. Location is good near a subway station and Olympic Park. Part of the room was quite nice (new curtains, bedding), carpet was a bit stained, walls and furniture clearly showing wear, but overall a "bright" appearance. Check-in was OK, though I didn't note anyone being on the "very" friendly side. (The temperature/code check persons were the friendliest, followed by the cleaning ladies.) Price was a Beijing price and I was disappointed with it in relation with what was provided.
