30 Mins to Waterton Gate! Relax & Enjoy the View of Chief Mountain & Sunsets

10/10 Excellent
"This place was a great place to stay while visiting Waterton Lakes. About 30 minute drive from there and 10 minutes into Cardston. Very clean, had a lot of room and was well appointed with dishes, utensils, pots/pans, etc. Communication with host was easy. Saw plenty of deer during our stay; and good Mountain View’s. Only downsides were shower water pressure left something to be desired, and outside could use some sprucing up. Outside steps to enter the door could use updating; and would have been great if the fire pit area had some seating and felt more useable. Overall we had a wonderful stay, and would recommend to anyone to stay here!"

THE FARM - LAKE FRONT, MOUNTAIN VIEW, NEAR WATERTON LAKE

THE FARM - LAKE FRONT, MOUNTAIN VIEW, NEAR WATERTON LAKE

10/10 Excellent
"Very unique property. Lots of fun with kids (school age and older) with the sport court, billiards room, large outdoor lawn to play games on. Our kids had a fun time making a scavenger hunt as there were so many things to explore and discover on the property. Large dining table was great for puzzles, board games and family meals. Beds were comfortable. Smart TV available to log onto streaming apps. We had some smoke and clouds but on the clear days there were views of mountains with nice sunrises and dark sky area to see the stars (Milky Way!). Location is a bit remote with closest town with decent sized stores 30 mins away so need to plan for that. Yummy small town cafes/diners/ice cream close by in Hill Spring and Glenwood. Many things to do within 30min-1 hour drive: Waterton Park, Cardston Carriage Museum, Head smashed in Buffalo jump, etc. But property is quiet and peaceful if you just want to stay put."

Payne Lake Wilderness Huts - Lakeview Suite

Payne Lake Wilderness Huts - Lakeview Suite

8/10 Good
"Overall, our stay was good. The property was clean and beautiful, and not too far of a drive to/from Waterton. We also loved the playground that’s a short walk from the property. It’s also close enough to a store (about 3-4 min drive) so if you’re in a pinch, it’s very convenient. The host was also quick to respond to questions. There are some areas of improvement. Instructions on how to get to the property could be improved and made simpler. Our group had to read it a few times to understand where to go. Bullet points might help, or use chatgpt. One of the stove knobs needs to be replaced or as the numbers do not correspond to right setting. The host was quick to respond to us when we brought it up which was much appreciated. The barbecue grill also needs a good clean. We had to scrape off the heavy build up of food on the grill before we used it. And lastly, it would be nice to have a few other items available for guests to use for convenience, like cooking oil, foil, saran wrap, etc."

"I came with my husband and two children (3 & 11). I loved every minute. I think we all did. That lakeview, the deck and the outdoor chair made for some great moments and memories. The owner is underselling this place. We almost wanted to hangout at the cottage all day instead of going to Waterton. My only regret was not staying longer."

"Soonhui was very quick with answering questions about my stay. The instructions for the no-contact entry were perfect. The room is small, but very comfortable, the bed and pillows are great. Also loved the shower, great water pressure. The room has a standard hotelroom fridge, perfect for snacks, drinks and breakfast items. There Keurig coffeemaker and electric kettle was much appreciated. I was there hiking in Waterton for 5 days, and it was well worth the 25 minute drive, to come back to quiet and calm. For a solo person travelling light it was perfect!"
