Perfect spot in hiistoric district

Posted 23-Apr-2018
We were in a separate building room 19 that turned out to be a perfect match sharing a living room and a full kitchen with one more room. Very quiet and a short walk to the main building. We picked up a DVD but there was no player in the room, it would be nice if all rooms had the DVD player. Delightful cheese and crackers at happy hour and homemade desserts at bedtime!

Lovely Home

Posted 03-Apr-2018
Pros: the verandas, antiques rooms, the grits in the morning.
Cons: hard to come up with an improvement.....
Location: Lovely Historic homes, museum and national park.
The Rhett House is lovely in all aspects; the rooms, the wise verandas, the grounds, the staff's candid warmth, the snacks and dessert in the cozy kitchen, antiques and the BREAKFAST GRITS ! This all took me back to my southern grandparents home. Totally restorative.

Mission Accomplished

Posted 22-Mar-2018
I've been trying to get to Beaufort, SC for years. It's a beautiful town and Rhett House is the place to stay. The location is perfect and staff so friendly. The breakfasts were amazing and all the other treats throughout the day....coffee, desserts, cheese, crackers and honor bar. You have a wonderful sense of history while staying here.

Great inn but lousy room

Posted 03-Mar-2018
Pros: Historical feel. Very nice breakfast room
Cons: Overpriced for off season. We were there on a weekday night in January and the room for 3 was overpriced $300 (including taxes)
Location: Walking tour was great.
We arrived in very cold weather and had booked a room for 3. The room was in the lower level (partial basement) and was freezing. No hot water. Hotel moved us fortunately to better rooms but we were very surprised at cost of original room considering how cold it was and that it was in the basement. Hotel charged us $50 for extra person which we think is too high. Inn itself is charming, breakfast was nice and desserts in the evening were complimentary.

Family

Pros: Atmosphere was welcoming. I was in heaven reading a book and sitting in a rocker on our private balcony.
Cons: Plumbing by room 18 does a shake rattle and roll.
Location: Walking distance to shops. The of the harbor is beautiful.
Relaxing old world charm. True southern hospitality.
