"This property was so lovely, the views were always stunning, the pool was refreshing and I appreciate it being covered so you can cool off in it without continuing to bake in the sun. The air conditioning was lovely and the ocean breezes kept it comfortable for the most all day. The unit was well appointed with all the necessities to make it a perfect getaway. Just short drive to lots of options in Maya Beach, and a very reasonable drive down to Placencia village for a fuller emersion into Belizian culture."

"This property was absolutely amazing and I’m already plotting my return! We used every part of the home and the “toys” they left for us to play with. We are a family of 5 adults and it was great that we each had an en suite. The home is advertised as 4 or 5 bedrooms because there is a detached studio style space that can be rented as well. The location is nice and quiet. There are places to eat nearby (we ate at Jaguar Lanes twice) and there is a Publics supermarket (they spell it with a “c”) about a 15 minute drive away. We opted to rent a car and found it good to have available. The drive is 2 1/2 hours from the airport. The golf cart was an added bonus but we never drove it beyond Publics. The housekeeper, Alia and groundskeeper, Alex kept everything nice and comfortable. We hired a chef (Alia’s husband) and he prepared 2 steak dinners and 3 lobster dinners that were absolutely delicious! My coworkers are now very interested in vacationing here based on my experience. If you enjoy snorkeling, I HIGHLY recommend Rudy’s Adventure Tours. They are a family owned business. What’s special is they spearfish at 2 of the 3 snorkeling sites ( lobster, crab, conch, fish) and stop on Moho Caye to prepare the catch for lunch. Then hit the 3rd site before heading back. One of my sons doesn’t eat seafood and the other is allergic to shellfish and squid. They were great at accommodating their needs. If you are on the fence on renting this property, go for it! You won’t be disappointed!"

"We were so sad to leave the swaying palm trees and oceanfront view at The Golden Spot. We enjoyed the hammocks and beachfront lounge chairs in the shade where we could just relax and admire the view. The staff do an amazing job of keeping the grounds and rooms clean... the sargassum is raked off the beach daily so there is no strong smell. FIVE en-suite rooms worked perfectly for our family, giving everyone space for down time. The upstairs living area with ping pong table was a nice gathering space. Treat yourself to some meals prepared by Juan... his food was one of the highlights of our trip! The massages were amazing and also added a touch of pampering to the experience. We made golf cart trips to RISE Cafe for coffee, Maya Beach Bistro and The View Rooftop restaurant in Seine Bight. We never found time to make the trip all the way to Placencia Village... over 40mins each way, but it would be a beautiful drive. Easy to call a cab if you want to get there faster. We hired a taxi to drive us 30mins to Maya King Waterfalls one afternoon on a whim- beautiful way to spend an hour or 2. If you are looking for a peaceful vacay spot where you can be pampered- this is it!"
