"Nice house in a great location. Not exactly toddler friendly but would be good for bigger kids. Cleanliness I would say was good at surface level (beds, bathrooms kitchen etc). Wearing white socks or having toddlers playing reveals the floor needs a much more thorough clean. "

"This small cottage was ideally situated in Amble, a busy fishing village even in early November. Close, too, to the local, excellent restaurants and pubs. The host was helpful and fun. The cottage is pet friendly and parking nearby is always possible. Thoroughly recommended."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Shorethwaite, the house was beautifully presented and very comfortable with everything you need for a week away. The bottle of wine was a really nice touch and the house was a real home from home. Stays York were really good too, regarding communication and assistance with booking. I would definitely use them again. We would also definitely stay at Shorethwaite again if we return to the area. Would highly recommend."

"Very enjoyable stay with excellent views.The property is in an excellent position to walk to all ares of the town. We were able to park right outside the house due to the polite no parking notice in the window. Beds were comfortable along with clean and very fresh bedding and towels. Kitchen was clean and very well stocked with almost everything you could need to cook with. Worth noting is the fridge freezer and tumble dryer in the garden shed. All in all a really enjoyable stay just not long enough though. "
