"The room was clean and the king bed was quite comfortable. The heater was a bit loud but very effective, and the heated air fan in the bath was a nice touch; plenty of hot water, too. The microwave oven was small but worked well, and the mini-fridge was bigger than many we've seen. The staff were friendly and helpful, and cheerfully accomodated our late arrival. "

"Cabin was great. It was very cold outside but the heater worked and made the room comfortable in about an hour. Staff was very helpful. Setting was beautiful."

"This is a beautiful property. The room was clean and spacious. My family had a great time walking around the property and playing mini golf on-site. The room had everything we needed. We would stay again. "
Dog Friendly Cabin in the Woods, Hot Tub & Firepit
10/10 Excellent
"Walking into the cabin and seeing the view from the living room was amazing! ... a beautiful sweeping view of a cow pasture on the hillside and a mountain ridge. Fireplace with provided firelogs and electric candles on the mantel made for a relaxing evening. Hot tub was great after a day of hiking. Little touches like the couch cover, ball and petwipes for dogs was nice. Carol even provided dog bowls and makings for s'mores! Rooms and bathrooms very clean with nice private views thru the woods. Watching a pileated woodpecker and a red-headed woodpecker while breakfasting was special. Would definitely stay there again, and I'd like to see the cabin in other seasons. Decks with rockers were nice, although the weather turned cold when we were there so I couldn't sit outside for long. Our family of 4 adults 1 dog stayed there April 5-8, 2026. Thanks, Carol, for sharing your cabin and answering our questions so promptly!"
"The house was spotless. Clean room and house.. It was almost like we were the first to stay there. The host was great. We have stayed woth him before and he texted us early in the morning to check on us and answered all my questions. Great hostThe house has everything. Kitchen, laundry. Grill, fire, Tv, heat, wifi, etc. Cant go wrong..fireplace inside and outside. The only con is it is a little loud. You will hear every car. My girlfriend and i are decent sleepers. Not super heavy sleepers but we had no issues. Living in Eglon nefore, it kinda brought some peacefulness to meYou would think purple fiddle being visual from the home would lead to a lot of noise. They had 2 concerts and we didnt hear any unless you crossed the road. The insulation is pretty good. The noise comes through the window. Was plenty hot or cold for us. Ac worked well. The bathroom eas spotless and cleanThe location is unbeatable. If you're a couple or a small family. This is a perfect spotParking is right in front. Never had an issue with itI can't think of one con. The location allows you to easily access Blackwater, Davis, Canaan. Eglon, Aurora, Oakland, and of course Thomas. Also, tbis isnt a big guy. This is a local. Make sure to support the little guys. This man deserves it. Every time. Host and home are fantastic "
Waterfront, dog-friendly home on Deep Creek Lake with hot tub, dock & 2 firepits
10/10 Excellent
"The property was great and well kept! We only had a few minor issues. There were 2 broken chairs in the dining room. We planned to use the grill but there was no propane tank and it wasn’t listed online that we were required to bring our own. Also, the tv downstairs was not working. "
