"The Blind Tiger was a gem. It was convenient and private enough to enjoy with staff available 24/7 with and questions. The room, lobby and all areas were immaculate and brilliantly arranged. I would definitely go again!"

Elegant and efficient Island home 4 miles from downtown Portland
8/10 Good
"Historic and charming home in a most interesting setting-- the community was a former military fort and barracks. Chat with neighbors on the front porch or watch wildlife and hang out in the backyard picnic tables. Comfortable beds and two full baths makes it good for group of 4-6 people. The golf cart is a godsend but there are bicycles and kayaks for land and water exploration. We didn't make it to the lovely looking pool or rec center for gym/bowling but they look like lots of fun. Rental and check-in was easy with quick communication from Ethan the owner. Pro-tips: 1) Be sure to take the ferry from Portland to the Diamond Cove dock NOT the Great Diamond Island dock. Ferry tickets are cheapest at 14 ea; other option is to book a personal water taxi 75 (takes up to 6 people). 2) There's no typical general store just a restaurant with a gift shop, so bring all your groceries with you."
"The location of this hotel is fantastic. We didnt use our car in 2 days. The food in their restaurants was excellent and the variety was great. They have an outdoor dining which was in a beautiful setting. The fitness room has everything I needed. All the service people were very pleasant. I would go back."
New Ocean-front, Peaks Island, Portland home, Beaches,
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at this vacation home. Owner was responsive to questions. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. They’ve made very good use of the small footprint so you can actually spread out a bit if needed. The kitchen is very well stocked and it was so nice to have high quality cookware to use. The house is close to the small road out front so you should feel comfortable with people (mostly walking, on bikes or in golf carts) just outside the house. It did not bother us at all and we actually enjoyed all the people that stopped to enjoy the small flower garden and the beautiful view across the road. Great location on the island - close enough to town but not so close that you are impacted by crowds during the busy summer season. A tip for future visitors - the hammock is in a bag behind a chair in the living room area. We had seen it in the photos and looked forward to using it. When we arrived and it wasn’t set up we assumed it wasn’t available for use. Not a big deal at all - just wish we’d known before the last day of our visit. Would definitely rent this home again and recommend it to others! "
Luxurious island home on the water, 30 minute ferry ride from Portland Maine
10/10 Excellent
"We loved staying on Great Diamond Island. Such a beautiful and serene respite. Oliver was amazing at helping us get everything situated on the front end. And his lovely home worked perfectly for our group of 7. We explored the island, ate great food (Crown Jewel was a hit!!), and made a few trips into Portland. The hot tub was a great way to wind down each night. "
Look out across the Atlantic Ocean from Portland’s iconic white lighthouse, which has presided over the southern Maine coastline since the 18th century.
