The Baltic Sea beaches of Rerik and Kühlungsborn are only about 10 minutes away. The Golf Resort Wittenbeck can be reached in 15 minutes.
The location is ideal for trips to Bad Doberan (Münster), Heiligendamm (Germany's oldest seaside resort), the Hanseatic city of Rostock and Warnemünde or even to Wismar.
