AC and fridge not on when arrived but did work once plugged in and turned on. It’s very dated but the beds were fine and clean. Maintenance definitely not great (many layers of caulking in showers, peeling wallpaper, etc.) but lots of hot water and no bugs

Nice to stay for the one night for our family of 6 we booked 2 roomed .. a little nostalgic environment ( back in the 60’s) but nice comfy bed and clean room. Manager very friendly and accommodated al our needs .

The room was very outdated. Had a bit of a musty smell. The windows were strange, they opened inwards and they were taped closed except for one. The screen needed to be cleaned. However the bathroom was very clean and bright and the bedding was also clean and fresh so for a place to crash for one night it will do.

We were there for my son's Spartan race. Very please with our room. It had a fresh clean smell, beds were comfy. The staff was very friendly when we were checking in. Close to all amenities. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was clean, reasonably priced, and service was good. It is a retro motel with dated decor but it was clean, and walkable to downtown. Collingwood has gotten so expensive - so this is an affordable option.

Room was a 1970/1980 time capsule but very clean. Bed was good and I just needed somewhere cheap to sleep for 8 hours and it did the trick.

The price the convenience to downtown the friendly staff. The place could use some work outside for more appel. I felt safe but the two key system would have been easier if the two keys looked different in someway and it was difficult to open the outside door very heavy to open.

I knew the rooms here hadn't changed since the 50s but it bothered me that the room was freezing when I arrived. It was -15 out and took a while to get remotely warm. TV didn't work either and there was no one at the front desk. Great price and location though.

Average motel, decent for the price

The room was quite small, and as it was only my five year old and myself, it was fine. Everything was unplugged except for the TV, including the mini fridge and lights. Whether that’s planned (for eco purposes) I don’t know, but it’s the first time I’ve ever encountered that. The light above the bed didn’t work. The AC was extraordinarily loud, though that could be because of the overall size of the room. There were two odd “doors” as windows that opened underneath the window, one of which had a garbage bag taped on. The bed was comfy. The TV kept me in a YTV loop, every channel somehow defaulted to YTV. Wifi was garbage, it was very slow in between the constant cutting out. The lady at the front desk was friendly enough and check in was a breeze. I’d probably stay again with my kid, as it wasn’t a terrible experience, and we were only there to sleep, but if I were traveling with my girlfriend, I don’t think we’d stay here.

Location could be good for bicyclers as it's right on the trail. Good food nearby. While the management let us put our bikes in our room, the rooms are small so it's tight. They skimped on towels and pillows. If it is really just a budget offer than the price should be lower. There's lots that was off-putting and not too much good to say. It could be a great place with a make-over. I also didn't appreciate that even though I was to blame for booking two nights by mistake, there appeared to be no one else staying there so it wasn't like the owner, who insisted on charging us for the two nights, would be out the extra income. Overall, it felt like no one really cared about the property.
