Fam-friendly 4BR Waterfront Barnstead Beauty The Barnstead Beauty is a wonderful 4 bedroom 3 bathroom waterfront home on Lily Lake in Barnstead NH. The home is great for family trips, getaways with friends, and more! Enjoy stunning sunsets over the lake with front row views from the backyard, fire pit, large wrap around covered deck, and even indoors in the open concept kitchen & living area. Nature is in the palm of your hand! \*\*\*THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE\*\*\* House has a security camera system following all VRBO rules and guidelines to respect guest’ privacy. Contact the host directly if you have any additional questions. The space A long driveway off the main road brings you to the front of our home and ample parking for 4-5 cars. A wrap-around deck brings you to the home’s main entrance and you begin to see the beautiful lake and property that the home sits on. As you enter the home, you see that it has a beautiful open-concept living room and kitchen area. The oversized island with granite countertops naturally becomes a popular gathering spot. The gas fireplace, detailed stonework, elegant kitchen, tall vaulted ceiling and wood beams all work together to give this space a very special energy. You’ll love the large windows that pour sunlight into this room, and the two sliding doors opening out to the covered porch are sure to be used often! You’ll find 2 bedrooms on this floor with a full bathroom, including tub & shower. One of these bedrooms has a queen bed while the other has a Twin-over-Full Bunk Bed and fold-out single sleeper sofa. Both rooms have their own closets and 32” Roku Smart TV’s. Up the stairs, there is a large Master Bedroom with an additional comfortable seating area, ample closet space, dressers, and a full en-suite bathroom. Downstairs, the lower level provides an additional spacious living area and convenient exit to the backyard. On this level, you can walk through the stylish sliding barn door into the 4th Bedroom with two Twin-over-Full bunk beds and stunning lake views. Down the hall is a spacious newly-renovated full bathroom. The spacious backyard faces west and gets amazing sunset views! It’s great for soaking up the rays in the summer, lawn games such as cornhole (provided), and enjoying the sandy beach! We provide 4 kayaks and a Stand-Up-Paddleboard for your group to use and enjoy! The fire pit is excellent for gathering together in the backyard, making a campfire, eating s’mores, and creating lifelong memories. The side of the backyard has a separate fenced in area that is perfect for dogs to run off-leash without any concerns. Pets are allowed at this property for a $150 fee per pet per stay. We provide dog bowls, treats, bags, and toys in a cabinet above the refrigerator. Not all breeds are allowed, due to insurance restrictions, please contact the host with details on pets traveling with you. Lily Lake is not a large lake - rather it is much more private, quiet, and avoids the many boats and crowds that you find on bigger lakes. Less noise and congestion! Our lake feels very private because much of it is surrounded by conservation land. Life’s simple pleasures are appreciated here: Fishing in the morning, sun-bathing with a cocktail on our dock, floating on your back and enjoying the water, and sunset kayak rides. For those who crave a day trip to a bigger lake, we are 10 minutes from Upper & Lower Suncook Lake and just 20 minutes away from Alton Bay (Lake Winnipesaukee). The World-Famous New England Fall Foliage is absolutely gorgeous in the Autumn season, and Lily Lake freezes over in the winter time which can be great for ice fishing, snowshoeing, and ice skating! Just 30 minutes to skiing, snowboarding, and tubing at Gunstock Mountain! This property truly is a gem all 12 months of the year. The house comes very well stocked for your convenience. We provide all guests with linens and towels, hair dryers, shampoos and conditioners, pots and pans, cooking utensils, high end stainless steel appliances, drip coffee maker (multiple coffee flavors provided!) and more! There is also a 4-burner BBQ Grill on the deck for guests to use. All you have to do is show up with your favorite groceries and your luggage to have an excellent stay! Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home and property, including the private backyard and sandy beach lakefront. The lake itself is shared with neighbors and the public (you may see some fishermen on this lake!) Local Attractions: 5-7 min drive to Pittsfield, the neighboring town, where there is a local grocery store, café, Rite Aid pharmacy, convenience stores, gas stations, and a few eat-in and take-out restaurants. 20 min drive to Concord, NH - Steelegate Mall, Target, Walmart, Movie Theatre, Famous Restaurant Chains, and much more! 20 min drive to Alton Bay - you may be able to spot a sea-plane land or take off! Also a great place for a boat rental by-the-day at the marina to take your group out to explore the massive Lake Winnipesaukee. Great Dinner options here too! 25 min drive to Weirs Beach in Laconia - one of my personal favorite public beaches on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. The pier has lots of fun games, shops, and food choices. Rent Jet skis and explore the big lake! 25 min drive to Tanger Outlets in Tilton, NH with many popular brands at discount prices in Sales-Tax-Free New Hampshire! Great for guests who want to “shop til you drop!” 25 min drive to OSG Paintball in Center Barnstead. This place is great for groups, teens to adults, as it’s one of the most highly rated paintball courses in New England! 30 min drive to Gunstock Mountain in Gilford, NH- great for hiking, and snowtubing, skiing and snowboarding! Full disclosure: \- There are a few private closets that we keep locked throughout the home that are used for storage of supplies, extra linens, etc. Guests will be sure to have plenty of closets, as well as additional dressers in bedrooms for storage. \- This property's home security system follows all VRBO rules and regulations to protect your entire groups' privacy. Specifically, the house has security cameras at the Front Door, Backyard & Lower Patio which ONLY look outside the home, and they are there for your group's safety and security. Well equipped for small and older children and adults. Perfect for pond Laua king, small sandy beach, fire pit for s’mores, well equipped kitchen for serious cooking and baking, lovely sunset, beautiful deck, and personal assistance from owner. We had a great time at the Barnstead Beauty for the long Memorial Day weekend! Our group of 12 fit comfortably and there was plenty of activities to keep us entertained. We enjoyed swimming and kayaking on the calm lake, board games on the rainy day, sitting by the fire, relaxing on the deck watching the sunset, and plenty of options for tv and movies. Bathroom and kitchen was well stocked with the essentials; laundry room was a plus. We came stocked with groceries, there is a small grocery store closeby, but we drove to Concord (about 20 min) where there were bigger markets and shops (walmart supercenter, market basket, hannaford, etc). There is also a family fun center (Chicksters) about 15 min away with minigolf, ziplining, bumper boats, go-karts, etc that was fun for the group. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend the Barnstead Beauty if you want a relaxing stay! ##### Christina C. The house has everything you could need. We felt like we were staying at a friends house instead of a rental. Very clean, organized and comfortable. The owner was very helpful. We did not understand how to use the upstairs AC unit, he got back to me within 10 minutes with clear directions. Could not have been any more helpful. It was hot so we spent a lot of time in the lake swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. Nice quiet area. We also loved the back porch, such a great sunset view. Lots of restaurants and things to do (mini golf, go carts, movies for rainy day) within a 30 minute drive. You literally do not need to bring one item as everything is supplied from shampoos, toiletries, paper goods, etc. being a large Italian Family who love to cook this kitchen was a dream come true ! The house itself was beautiful and large enough to sleep all. The decks are the biggest bonus as we spent most of our nights out their playing family games ! The waterfront is beautiful and peaceful. Fishing was amazing ! What we were most impressed with was the thoughtfulness of the owners with accommodations for our three fur babies (dogs). The fenced in pen right off the porch was so convenient. Let the dogs out right to it ! We made so many family memories and cherished our week on Lily Pond! We have a wonderful time at the Barnstead Beauty. The house was even more beautiful in person and fully stocked with everything we needed and more! There were plenty of kayaks and paddle boards which were put to good use. We enjoyed hanging out on the porch. The ghost is well stocked with games and books as well as chalk and crayons. There is tons of space for play and adult conversation. The house is beautiful with all amenities supplied. The property is beautiful as well as the house. The house is clean, spotless. The owner supplies everything you could think of so you only have to bring your food. If are looking for a big lake for boating this is not the lake but if you are looking to do some kayaking fishing swimming this is perfect. No big boats to scare you while on the water. My son said “ mom thanks for finding this gem.” We had a wonderful time. Make sure to make reservations for dinner at least two weeks ahead of time. We went to Laconia Fratelli s about 30 min away. Live music on Friday night. They do take walk ins. Bring sweat shirts it’s near the water and it gets cold. The other restaurant is O Steak House they don’t take walk ins. House has plenty of seating space and kayaks and paddle board. I would definitely some back. ##### Deborah M.
