"The property is OK if you plan to stay for a day or two. We stayed for a month and found it too small and too cluttered. It almost felt as if the owner had moved out the day before with lots of ‘stuff’ (food etc) in cupboards!There is only one bathroom/toilet on the ground floor only and the stairs are very tight and quite steep with bannisters that are loose.It is also right on the busy street and therefore very noisy from traffic.It is however in a great location with Stamford shops/pubs...

"1) Checkin details were not provided - I had to contact Hotels.com and wait ±1hr outside in the windy street to get these. Checkin was 4pm but I couldnt get in until 90 mins later. 2) Once inside the building; Entrance hall filthy with full black bags in corner, wall staining, filthy carpets, laundry cages strewn. No-one around at all, felt very unsafe. 3) Once inside the flat, it felt like someone had just left in a rush, but I couldnt be sure until I had gone through the apartment. Spooky....

"A very comfortable cottage. Excellent enclosed garden if you have a dog and great walks within 200 yards of the cottage to the 'deeps' or beyond to at least two longer distance paths. Stamford is ten minutes away and if yoir visiting family in the area its a great base with good road links.We had our break at half term (February) the cottage is well heated with a log burning fire!....we bought extra logs from Morrisons in Stamford (about £8 a bag).Bob and Sarah provided a great welcome pack...
