The room was perfect! The shared kitchen was incredible and the roof top garden was beautiful! The front desk staff went above and beyond to make sure I found the place without any problems. They made me feel so at home. The location is super! Close to the metro and the train station. I cant wait to visit again.

The room was smaller than expected as in the corner of the floor plan. This was a large flat made into 6 Bed and Breakfast rooms. Unfortunately we booked the room without a bathroom. This was absolutely not stated when we booked but it did say private bathroom. Aren't they all. But not so private if you have to use the facilities 2 to 3 times per night. The guest house was pretty good with this only exception of the bathroom. Good location, clean, coffee available and limited snacks. I'd recommend but don't book room 4

Great Pension in good location

This is a great little pension in a good location a short walk from Las Ramblas and close to Metro links. The staff are really nice and helpful and there is information available in the small communal kitchen which houses tea and coffee and a supply of fruit etc as well as a microwave oven. The place is spotlessly clean and evwrything works very well. The roof terrace was a real bonus ona sunny day with chairs and tables available to take a picnic lunch etc. I would 100% recommend if you want a Pension style accommodation close to main sightseeing points.

Right for the Price

This property was about what you would expect for the price. The room is exceptionally small. We were placed in the wrong room and then asked to move after we had unpacked all of our things, but otherwise the staff are friendly. Again--the room are amusingly small (we took a picture for our friends), so if you have a lot of luggage, this might not be the most appropriate lodging choice.

We were happy with the room, the balcony was a nice touch and the rooftop was lovely. The only issue was the taxi let us out 2 blocks away claiming he couldn't get closer and we had no idea how to get there. Luckily we ran into some English speaking locals that directed us. Our instuctions were to enter the code and walk into reception, but there was no reception at that level. Turns out you needed to take the elevator up, and that information would have been helpful. However we were very happy with the cleanliness of the room, the staff and the location.

I was pleasantly surprised as I was not expecting much but it was wonderful. I was greet and shown the apartment , living area, and told all the things I needed to know for the weekend. Close to a train station (across the road) lots of restaurants, easy walking to Marina a beach. Room had a double bed even though it was a single. No window except for ventilation. Bathroom was modernized. Had some storage and some new slippers… which I used all 24 days! Elevator was great. Aldi across from front door. Would stay again but would definitely book a view.

Good digs.

Accommodation was pretty basic,but the Reception staff were quite marvellous. Pension Ciudadela is right opposite Barcelona Franca station — a 2 minute walk.

Great location. I liked that we had coffee, tea, and pastries to start or end the day. A refrigerator is in the kitchen area to store your food/drink. Traveled with 5 people, the triple room had a cute balcony. No problems with AC. A few stairs before you get into the tiny elevator up to lobby. If you have mobility issues or lots of luggage this might be a problem. Friendly service.

Equate this more to a B&B than a full service hotel or a typical hostel. We had a triple room with private en suite bath, balcony and A/C. Other rooms used a shared bath. There was a common area with tables, chairs, dishes, refrigerator to store food/drink. And a common rooftop terrace. Housekeeping was impeccable, maybe even too much as we could have fared without new towels every day. The people running the space were so kind and informative. You cannot beat the location. Right on the edge of The Born neighborhood so easy walkability to museums, shops and restaurants but not in the thick of the nightlife noise. Parks, beaches and transport are at your doorstep!

Waited over an hour for someone to answer the door so I could check in. Staff was rude and lied that they sent the code, did not apologize. Room had a fetid smell, no window which meant you had to run a AC unit that had obvious signs of mold. The fire sprinkler was tapped off and the bed was very uncomfortable.
