Though the stay was very good and it served decent meals, there were few restaurants available locally. It’s about 30 minute train ride into Barcelona city centre and it takes about 10 mins walk from Cerdanyola del Vailes Railway station. The railways seems to have a lack of investment as through out my stay units had broke down or were late or as on the last day they were down to one line. It didn’t matter as I was on holiday. The staff speak limited English and are usually very busy, The hotel is more of a business hotel than a tourist one. There are a number of drinking establishments if you look. A McDonalds and Lidl next door too.
Next door is a cafe come bar but the surroundings look a bit desolate, with an lgbt park and a bridge across the main motorway.
I wouldn’t recommend as a base for visiting Barcelona City as you’d probably be better off with something more central. If your on a business trip it’s perfect with plenty of parking, good meals and friendly staff
