Modern, hotel excellent location fantastic staff

Posted 16-Jul-2016
Pros: The staff where fantastic really helpful, helped us organise trips and spoke to one company on our behalf. They where helpful, friendly and welcoming.
Cons: You could slightly hear the underground but this didn't disturb us.
Location: Brilliant location near the gothic quarter and easy access to all sights and restaurants.
Really liked this hotel the staff went out of their way to make my Husbands 40th Birthday special they sent a bottle of chilled cava and cake to the room. They decorated the room with some items i'd taken whilst we where out sight seeing. Liked the room it was a good size with a nice view of the gothic quarter. The minibar was stocked with free drinks and some snacks. The breakfast was decent and had everything you would expect. The roof top terrace was fab just what you needed after a day sightseeing.

Beautiful hotel with a stunning view

Posted 14-Jul-2016
Pros: The staff made us feel very welcome. They were also quite helpful regarding restaurant and sightseeing questions.
Location: Would recommend doing one of the free walking tours of the Old City. Go to Barceloneta for great seafood. Take the hidden elevator in the Cathedral!
From checkin to checkout, the staff were amazing. The location in the Old City is fabulous. Walking distance to everything including the sea! We were celebrating my 60th birthday and they left a bottle of cava and cake for us our first night. We had a deluxe room on the 6th floor. Nice view no the room as lovely. One of the highlights is the rooftop bar. Panoramic views of the city. Manuel makes great drinks too! I would definitely stay here again.

Great location for city centre & beach.

Posted 09-Jul-2016
Pros: Lovely room - beautifully clean. Roof terrace bar was great!
Cons: It's next to the metro so if you are a light sleeper this may be a problem - personally it didn't disturb us at all!
Location: Worth a trip to the Fundacio Joan Miro - particularly while the Ignasi Aballí exhibition is on!
Lovely central hotel, really clean and very welcoming. Close to lots of restaurants. Opposite a metro - so ideal for getting around.

Très bon hôtel bien situé

Posted 25-Jun-2016

good location

Posted 18-May-2016
Pros: The location and staff
Cons: Another chair in the room would have been ideal
Location: So much to do it depends on the individual.
Hotel was in a good location and plenty of restaurants and shops close by. We found the room small but very clean and also a good sized and well equipped bathroom. The bonus was the roof terrace with a marvellous view of Barcelona and an excellent cocktail bar. We would definitely recommend and would return.

Lovely hotel set in the Gothic Quarter

Posted 10-May-2016
Pros: Staff, my room, the location
Cons: Do a bit of a more thorough clean in the bathroom, particularly the toilet seat cover and radiator. Also rooms a bit small for two.
Location: Catedral de Barcelona, Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, Palau de la musica Catalana, Mercat de Santa Caterina, Picasso Museum, Museu d'Història de Barcelona
As a single female traveller, I was a little worried about travelling to Barcelona on my own. From the moment I arrived at the hotel however, all my worries dissipated! The staff on reception were so friendly and very welcoming! Throughout my stay they offered to help me make bookings and recommended places to eat. I had a deluxe room which was lovely, light and airy! The bathroom was great and good water pressure from the shower. Sufficient storage for me, but I can see how it would be a little on the small side for two people sharing. Also, you do hear and feel the vibrations of the passing metro every now and then which would one of the only negatives I have to say. The maid who came in everyday did a fantastic job - my room looked and felt brand new everyday! The hotel is set in the Gothic Quarter, and is a two minute walk from the Catedral de Barcelona & Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar. As mentioned, the metro is right on your doorstep, as are numerous buses. It is very close to the beach and the main Gaudi attractions and I had no problem getting to and from the hotel - I couldn't have asked for more! I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but there are some fantastic places to eat nearby, and endless choices for dinner! I ordered room service on my first night - quick and friendly service, and very tasty! Also had free Nesresspo coffee in the rooms :) All in all, I had a fantastic experience at H10 Montcada Boutique Hotel, and would not hesitate to recommend it!
