The Guitart Grand Passage feels like an old hotel in need of a refurbish. On the plus side the staff was friendly, the location was good and the AC worked very well during our summer stay. But the beds only had sheets--no blanket or duvet, and when we requested a pillow for a rollaway bed, we were told that there were no extra pillows on the property. There was a stain on the sheet, the bathrooms need updating and the room could have been cleaner.

The team at this hotel is fenomenal and will go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable. Location is ideal and the rooms are quite large, specially the suites that are newly renovated.

The property was nice but could use some renovations the room was a little run down but worked for what we needed. The staff was amazing-nice and attentive. The area had plenty of options for food and drinks and it was a good spot for grabbing a cab easily.

Great hotel in a great spot

A friendly, comfortable stay in Barcelona. The staff were very friendly. The room we had, executive double, was enormous. The room was also very clean. We were on the red City Tour route so easily travelled into Barcelona. Lovely vibrant area with lots of bars and eateries close by.

The hotel is nicely located. We were able to walk to most of the sites we wanted to see. A ton of dining option as soon as you walk out of the lobby. Rooms are large with plenty of space. Restrooms are common corridor and stairs are outdated.

Admittedly location was a factor (it being at around 10 minute walk from the Diagonal underground station), but it was very pleasant stay on the top floor. Since it is close to Avinguda Diagonal, there are myriad cafes, shops, major stores etc. Staff was very friendly and helpful, too. It may sound trivial, but despite it being so close to a busy artery, I didn't need earplugs for sleeping there three nights.

Overall a good and clean hotel, but floors in the room and the bath should be refurbished. I am not sure if this is still a 4 star hotel. We were specially disapointed with the breakfast, the choice of food is limited and the stuff is struggling to provide enough food for all guests.

Reception staff were good. The staff managing the breakfast were a bit unhelpful or just overall not welcoming to guests. The manager needs to train better the kitchen staff especially the lady handling breakfast. Overall ok.
