Excellent location and environment

Posted 03-Oct-2015
Pros: Modern, clean, friendly staff, comfortable
Cons: plumbing with occasional drain blocks (not a major issue)
Location: Already above
We visited a quiet time and were upgraded to a very comfortable room. The rooftop lounge, bar and breakfast are distinct. The area has cafe's and restaurants everywhere (with good coffee), friendly people. The city is just brilliant, from the beaches to the mountains. We recommend taking the Eastern bus tour early on (stop and re-join) to orientate. The Cathedral, Gaudi basilica, one is enough - Gaudi house, and the marina markets and restaurants are terrific and good value. ON the business side, a very good WiFi service.

Great Hotel

Posted 28-Sep-2015
Pros: I personally liked the modern design, the comfortable room, roof-top area, friendly staff. The service was very professional and helpful.
Cons: I would have liked to be able to make hot drinks in the room.
Location: The hotel is 15-20 minute walk from the beginning of The Rambla, Casa Mila and Passage de Gracia which is the main shopping area.
We had a very enjoyable week in Barcelona at the Hotel Cram. The room was spacious, modern and the staff friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have the facility to make hot drinks in the room, but that is my only complaint. It was lovely to have the roof-top pool/relaxation area. The location is a 15-20 minute walk to the beginning of The Rambla and about 45 minutes walking to the Port area. We asked at the hotel and found a nearby bus (No 64) at a cheap 2.15 euro one-way fare to the Barcolonetta (beach) area, which was very useful. I would not hesitate to go back!

VERY small - EXTREMELY noisy room - great location

Posted 16-Sep-2015
Pros: Very well situated right at the edge of old town and very close to the water, etc. Modern bathroom. Friendly staff. Fridge in room.
Cons: Replace windows with newer sound proof windows. Get room darkening drapes. Shower head holder. Soap and shampoo should be available for guests.
Location: Major site seeing. Access to 100's of bars, restaurants, clubs, shops, etc. Amazing location.
The hotel is right in the middle of the action in old town of Ibiza. That is the best and worst thing about it. The front of hotel faces the water, where thousands of people walk around and enjoy beautiful views while eating dinner or shopping. The back of the hotel faces a extremely loud dance club and multiple bars with very loud music and people. It is the busiest area with thousands of people walking around from 9pm-4am. So YOU CANNOT sleep or rest between 9pm and 4am. Even with ear plugs it is too loud. Walls are paper thin and windows let ALL the sound in as well. Just as if they were opened. Drapes do not block the sun in the morning either. They could spend $30 are get some room darkening drapes. Shower was either not finished or they did not bother to bolt hand held shower head to the wall. (had to hold it all the time or let it hang). Power in room turns off when you leave it. This includes the A/C, I asked the front desk for a spare room key to keep the A/C going and they did give me one. The room was about 9 feet by 9 feet, plus a bathroom which was 9 feet by 2.5 feet. No soap or shampoo in room. Room was totally renovated and very modern. Just VERY small and way too noisy unless you plan on being out to 4am. But remember you also cannot nap in the early evening and then go out. LOUD noise is from around 9pm to 4am.

Quiet hotel but very close to the top attractions

Posted 12-Sep-2015
Pros: Quiet, location and cleanliness
Cons: Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been lovely
Location: The hotel was just out of the busiest part, but only 10 minutes walk away from Casa Ballto and Sagrada Familia
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cram Hotel. The room was spacious and very clean as was the bathroom. The staff were so helpful and knowledgable. We would certainly recommend to anyone.

Nice hotel near to the centre

Posted 05-Sep-2015
Pros: Design, location, rooms, staff.
Cons: Showers, more thorough cleaning of bathroom tiles.
Location: very central for all attractions eg Ramblas. 10 mins from metro / railway station for airport transport.
A boutique hotel, quiet away from street noise. Rooms clean and appealing. Staff helpful and friendly. The only downside was the shower, it had tiled floors with gaps for drainage. Due to the design the gaps are hard to clean and appeared dirty. Also some tiles not cleaned thoroughly. Toiletries in a plastic container which are constantly filled up but the box was dirty / sticky due to everyone's fingers etc.

Good hotel in a great location

Posted 30-Aug-2015
Pros: Great location, clean, modern and fantastic services
Cons: Breakfast price (15 euro per person per day) and toilet door is very strange!
Location: Most sights are within walking distance but if you prefer there are plenty of taxis around or the metro station is close by
My wife and I stayed at the Cram for 4 nights during August and really liked this hotel. Service was great from checking in early, to answering queries and service at the bars / breakfast etc. There is a really good little pool and roof terrace with great views across Barcelona. We stayed in a superior room which was a good size for a city hotel and had a very comfy bed as well as a good bathroom with nice powerful shower. Be warned though - the door to the bathroom was frosted glass but with a very strange full height section left see through looking onto the toilet (took a bit of getting used to!). The street below was noisy but with the windows shut you wouldn't know that and the black out curtains were great (make sure you set an alarm!). The hotel breakfast, although good, was pricey and we fell for this at checkout - be warned that it 15 euros per person per day. The location was fantastic and most of Barcelona can be reached easily on foot. Despite a few small niggles and strange 'design' issues, this is a very good hotel in a great location and we would recommend to anyone considering it. Tip: If arriving via Aerobus, get off at Universitat not Plaça de Catalunya, it is just a 5 minute walk north at this stop to the hotel.
