A friend of mine and I traveled to Positano for the first time. I booked Villa Rosa because it seemed somewhat affordable, I didn't think much of it until we arrived there. To my surprise, the hotel was extremely clean and beautiful, not to mention stunning views from above, (book rooms on the highest floor, you'll get the best views). The room service and the breakfast were excellent, you get to order breakfast night before, and it will be delivered to your room the next morning. The staff was very helpful too. The only thing that we did not know is they do not have parking, but they team up with a car shop or car service minutes away to have your car picked up and parked there for 50 euros a day.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The staff is very nice and helpful, however, unless you’re choosing one of their new/renovated luxury premium rooms, the standard and even “non-luxury” premium rooms are VERY outdated (think 1980’s quality) and overpriced - I found out AFTER arrival and check-in and ended up opting for an upgrade.
The luxury premium rooms are up to standard, newly renovated with the level of comfort one would expect. Overall a positive experience despite the surprise.
Amazing hotel, lovely staff. We found the location perfect for getting around Barcelona city center.
We stayed on the 9th floor with a wonderful veranda...our room was beautiful. Bed, linens, shower all EXCEPTIONAL
I would stay here again!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The first room I was taken to smelled of smoke. The second room was next to the pool deck (very loud). The last room was lovely. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Helpful staff. Nice room. Outdoor patio on top floor was a nice bonus.

So for being a upscale hotel it was dirty in the room. Bathroom floors need to be recaulked. We walked the town and it was in a good location. Staff is great. Breakfast was lacking refills of milk and didn't offer regular coffee.
