The rooms are very very small. The pictures make it look different so dont fall for it. The small bed is very uncomfortable. The AC unit dis not work so we had to sleep with the windows open and it was way noise, also the windows had very easy access to the street and easy to climb.

Positive post
Even before arrival, the staff were incredibly responsive. I had a few questions regarding my stay and my email was responded to quickly and staff were very helpful. During our stay the staff were always welcoming, polite and helped with any queries we had. Our room was bright, clean and tidy and well maintained on a daily basis by the cleaning staff. The only downside to our stay was the comfort of the mattresses, which were on the firm side resulting in some disrupted sleep. We did not use the restaurant facilities during our stay so cannot comment on food or drinks served here. The pool area was always clean and tidy with us spending some relaxing times in the hot tub. Located on a main road with bus stops to various destinations in close proximity and lots of little cafe’s and small restaurants near by. A very pleasant stay and would stay again if visiting that area.

I stayed at the Catalonia Mikado because my brother was admitted to a nearby hospital. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, especially at breakfast (they had lactose free milk and gluten free bread available). Pros: room faced the swimming pool at the back, very quiet, well designed room. Nice touch to have shower gel etc as a dispenser in the shower rather than wasteful individual containers. The room was very clean. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Cons: the bathroom's door was made of frosted glass with a small gap around it. Not great if you share a room and need toilet/ shower privacy. The room felt cold, the heating only came on when we were in the room, and it took a while to warm up. Great eco-friendly measure but not very pleasant on a cold wet windy day. Overalll we were very impressed at a time that was stressful for us. There are great restaurants a short walk away, and we would book again (hopefully for sighseeing and not family emergencies!)

The staff were very kind, and the place comfortable and welcoming. It was easy to find, and they had parking on site for a small fee. It was a short walk to many services including the city hop-on hop-off bus. The breakfast buffet was very good. I highly recommend this place for the value.

Modernish and clean rooms. Unfortunately other guests were smoking weed which engulfed the pool area and our room (we could not leave patio doors open). Did not like our room immediately adjacent to the breakfast area as it was extremely loud in the morning. Parking is very tight for an SUV

The staff was amazingly helpful! After having a bad experience at a different place I checked out early and checked into this hotel. It is a little out of the way however the neighbourhood is very quiet

Arrived very late and check in took 20 mins so we were exhausted by the time we got to our room. Room was very tired: chipped laminate, dirty brown curtains, dirty shower curtain and smelled of cigarette smoke. Our 12 year old son said it looked like a prison. Complained the following morning and were given a renovated room which was a great improvement. Generally the hotel could have been cleaner but breakfast was good.

A nice spot to stay a weekend
Nice, clean, cosy with useful hot tube. With nice cafes around for breakfast, well located with close by transport links, buses and metro.

Would not recommend if you want to sleep :)
Not the hotels fault so don’t decide blame them at all, but hotel has no insulation so you can hear everything, every door slam I would wake up to, it was impossible to get a goods night sleep as people would wake up at 7am and slam their door waking me up, would not recommend this hotel if you want to sleep. It is soooo loud, also very small room ecspdcially for how much you pay, I paid 1200 aus for a week and my room was the same size as the hostel room of my friend, dissapointing seeing as I paid so much more. Staff were semi friendly. At one point I was crying at the pool and a staff member came up and gave me water so Thankyou to her but other then that the staff were not overly friendly.

I came for a meeting nearby. The cleaning service was the best I've ever seen. The place is near a high end residential area far away from the main tourist attractions. (20-30min bus/ subway). The room was very small itself, pretty barebone and not very fancy but had a nice big tub and shower and restroom. The swimming pool was tiny but beautiful although the hottub was freezing cold. The room did't have coffee or coffee maker but the front desk gave me an automatic water boiler and I bought instant coffee. I didn't try their breakfast but looked very good. The room had a dorm size fridge. The neighborhood has many nice coffee shops and bars that you actually see real Barcelona people and stay in quiet neighborhood but defintely get the all zone metro pass. There ia a bus stop right infront of you and metro station to Catalunua is 10min walk.

Amazing boutique hotel in a very nice area of Barcelona. Our room for 3 was very comfortable. Although not large it was well configured and had a fridge! Pool available although closes early at 8 pm!! Bar well stocked and staffed. Helpful staff.

Nice hotel convenient location to medical district
Very nice hotel, comfy room, excellent neighborhood! very safe and convenient close to the medical district, taxi from international airport is max 30 euros.

Very helpful staff. Called from the airport to ask what the easiest way to the hotel was and they advised perfectly. Was greeted at the front door by name and was escorted to my room. Great place for a clean room and bath and easy location to many of Barcelona’s attraction. Super close to the subway which allows you easy transport.

If you're a tourist, the hotel is very far from the city centre. Not a lot of choices for food in the area either.

Clean room in a great location
The hotel is in a great, safe location. Nearby are several restaurants and markets with kind staff. The room itself is modern and very clean. Crisp white sheets and blankets. We had dinner at the hotel once and had good service- food was decent. The front desk staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home, including ordering you a taxi.

Smallest hotel room I have ever been in. No room for a suitcase. Not tea/coffee making facilites. Air con didn't work. 14 euro extra for breakfast which was very poor quality.

Great location, shame about the noise!
The initial member of staff who checked me in was extremely rude. The room was smaller than the images show. It was extremely noisy; the walls are like paper, the doors slam shut no doubt waking up the whole corridor and the floors are laminate with no sound proofing, so every time someone walked on the floor above me or at the side it echoed through to my room. There were no coffee making facilities or ironing board in the room, this I believe should be a minimum standard for any modern day hotel. I say this as the area is residential with quite a few head offices and private clinics. They should cater for their business clientele.
