The chalet was spacious and warm. The staff could have been more helpful and provided better information. Pretty basic overall, but you get a comfortable space with a bathtub, easily accessible to downtown Banff and many hiking trails.

We have stayed at the Douglas Fir a lot, and as the property gets older, the upkeep isn’t there. Each time the quality of the resort has gone down. It is a reasonable price though and has the pool and kids’ play place that keep drawing us back.

We had a wonderful stay. We had the upper condo of one of the fourplexes. It was not fancy, but was comfortable for 4 adults. The pool and hottub were great. The location was nice and quiet and picturesque. Convenient distance from downtown Banff. Complimentary roam was perfect and a short trip to downtown. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Ok price for the peak fall season. Great location. It is an old facility but it was spacious for my family. We had a suit with 2 bathrooms. Overall, I was satisfied when I could not find anything else with a reasonable price.

The accommodation and location were very good and lots of amenities for the grandchildren. Good parking. Beds were comfortable and was quite. However the property and especially the rooms could really use some maintenance and renovations. Screen doors in shamble torn and falling off track. The hid-abed needs the mattress replaced as well as the fabric could use a good cleaning to get rid of the stains. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
