The location is very convenient, however the hotel is beginning to show its age as the rooms are dated. The room lighting etc are all controlled via a central unit in both the bedroom and lounge. As for the desk in the bedroom there is only one wall plug and that was used for power the WIFI router with no additional USB type connectors. How does one use and charge a laptop etc.? The shower door was a poor fit with water leaking onto the floor, i won't mention the shower rose either, something that would be more fitting in a two star hotel. Plus the constant ticking noise from the water pipes. The carpeting within the lifts is poorly fitting and really does need to be replaced. So would I stay again, probability due in part due to its location.

This is a very nice boutique hotel with several added amenities making it a solid 3-4 star experience. Rooms are walkup no elevator so accept help with bags when offered. The pool is a great way to cool off and the rooms themselves are large and beautiful with teak wood and hardwood floors, sliding doors and nice balcony if you can endure the humidity and heat. The only caution is the hardwoods are slippery in socks! Very slippery. Our rooms were quaint but the overhead AC unit is noticeably older and the heat & humidity +40c made it struggle to cool the rooms. I doubt it ever went down to 24c but it was pleasant enough to sleep. Staff were mostly able to converse in English but everyone treated us like royalty and welcomed us everyday. The experience in Chiang Mai overall was great - as a tourist city Ive always been pleased with restaurants and shops staff quality and care. This hotel stands above my previous experience to Chiang Mai and we would stay here again for sure. Location was close to several nice restaurants too!

Nice escape and contrast from busier city locations but easy access to city locations using Grab or taxi. Pool and breakfast was relaxing experience.

We stayed at Chandra residence for 5 nights end of July and it was truly amazing!! We stayed at the moonlight room and it was the perfect size for us with our 3 year old toddler. The vibe of the residence is very different from traditional branded hotel, it is a home surrounded by nature. The service is impeccable. They created a WhatsApp group for us to ask anything we need help on and if there is any problem they resolve it extremely fast. Peach was our major contact and her service is just outstanding, we couldn’t ask for more, she even stayed late to say bye to us the night before we left. They helped us to arrange most of our activities and gave us advices for anything we needed. They have a common area which we enjoyed spending time on, especially our toddler. We would love to stay here again next time.
