I truly enjoyed the staff at this hotel. The night receptionist was especially helpful, friendly and a great person all around. Breakfast is not continental as described on the post. However, the more accurate description of a typical Argentine home breakfast would be just as nice. I was served a delicious hot cafe au lait with two toasts and jam and spreadable cheese every morning, and thought it was great. My room was small and simple, but adequate. The shower had hot and cold water with good pressure. All around a very good stay for a great price.
For future travelers, while I stayed at the hotel, I reserved and paid for three additional nights. The next day, I was asked by three different staff members if I was leaving that day, why I had not yet checked out, and how long was I staying for, which was uncomfortable. Apparently, not all staff is trained to see payments online, and no one prints it out for them on a daily basis. Because they are friendly, they just accepted my word about it, but there was no one to confirm my payment until two days later. I'm not sure how this can be avoided, so just letting you know.
Fortunately, they are nice people so it worked out. Other than possible confusion for extending your stay, this is a good, solid place to be.
room was clean and that was the most important thing, because i did not come to Buenos Aires to stay at the hotel, so the amenities did not really matter. Staff was very friendly and helpful. they had cereal for breakfast, but again, you get what you pay for. Food in Buenos Aires was never a problem.
This hotel was more than adequate for what I needed. I visited Buenos Aires to tour the sights of the city, not spend all my time in a luxurious hotel room. I would rather give my money to the local vendors instead of a hotel. This hotel is clean and provides a somewhat comfortable bed and a bathroom. They also have free breakfast. I would stay there again.

Right on the center of town. Asked for a higher than 5 or 6th floor due to street noises if the room is located on the front of the building. Steps from all types of transportation. The personnel is outstanding. Don't forget to tip them at least 2 bucks a night, they deserve it.

This was my second trip to Buenos Aires and on this occasion I was travelling alone, visiting friends in the city.
It was important for me to find somewhere to stay that was central for my activities, where people were helpful and that I felt safe.

This hotel definitely need some renovation, but is good choice for the price! The room that we got did not look like the fotos, but is had a good size and was very clean. the breakfast was good and staff nice. The madras was bad, but the rest good for the price. The location is fine.

Staff are great especially this one great lady -- VERY HELPFUL. The breakfast was disappointing but appreciated the fruit. The area is not the best at night so be careful. The Tango show offered through the hotel seemed like a lot of fun but we did not see it although our room was next door!

Travelers may be tempted to tango in the Balvanera neighborhood, which is home to tango shows, dance clubs, and the former dwelling of legendary singer Carlos Gardel. Whether you visit Gardel's home, Museo Casa Carlos Gardel, or shop at the popular Abasto Mall, there is something for everyone. Try Peruvian, Arabic, and West African fare at the many restaurants lining the streets.
