Very nice
Lovely older hotel with lots of charm. We booked our room with breakfast which was very nice. The only downside was the pillows needed switching out, they were flat and hard. Otherwise everything was lovely. We had the king bed suite overlooking the water.

A great hotel in a great location
Our three-night stay was truly rewarding ...with a well appointed and spacious room ( 101 ) , a warm and efficient service from all members of the team and the food was so good ( Including breakfast ) that we had our three dinners at the hotel with the extraa benefit of being taken care by Joey who is really the perfect host and the best possible ambassador for the Lakeside Hotel. Quality / Price ratio really good....We'll defnitely be back.

Fantastic experience!
Waterfront room with a stunning view of the river. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and restaurant was very allergy friendly. Our stay was beyond expectations!

Unfortunately only a very short visit to the area on business, but nevertheless the hotel and staff ticked all the right boxes, with a good breakfast in the morning to send you on your way.

LOVED THE ROOM & RIVER VIEW
AMAZING HOTEL. It has everything! Great views. Excellent service. Beautiful grounds. Good food. This was a last minute booking because we changed our route. Can't say enough nice things about it. We consistently shared our experience with other travels & Irish people we encountered.

We had a lovely time the staff were so nice and helpful, the only downfall was the mattress was so uncomfortable myself and my Wife seen every hour, it was so so uncomfortable, I am sorry I didn’t say it checking out

Very nice
Nice comfortable and clean hotel with some wonderful views. Quiet town, but a few bars and restaurants nearby. Hotel bar a little small, if busy, make sure you book a table for food/drink, as some guests were turned away.

Difficult to sleep at night because the room was not dark (lots of light came in around the edges of the blinds, and there were no curtains). There was also a strong smell of cooked food all the time (I think the kitchen ventilation must have been very nearby). Bathroom was very small for the size of the room and water leaked all over the floor when using the shower screen.

lovely warm friendly welcome at the reception and this was the same all the way through. lots of hand sanitizers and wiping down credit card machine after use etc. swimming pool was fabulous. every place was spotless. room service was fantastic food was delicious. within walking distance to shops, church, bank, walks etc. man in tourist office very helpful. cruise was excellent.

A hotel of two parts
Lakeside Hotel has an old and new part to the building. The old part has rooms with no soundproofing from the noisy fans outside that run loudly throughout the night. Do not stay in this part of the hotel. The rooms in the waterfront part are beautiful and luxurious with a great view of the lake.
