"I had an amazing time at the Coral Cabana. This was the perfect choice for my solo diving trip to Nassau. The south coast is really chill, but I could easily drive to other parts of the island. I could stare at the ocean from my bed, fall asleep to the sound of the waves, and roll out of bed and onto the beach. I watched sunsets and sunrises from the south-facing beach. Stuart’s Cove Dive Center, which I’d booked with, was directly across the street. And John even invited me to a barbecue on my...

Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island - Adults Only - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"The property was pretty good. It was in better shape than what I read on some of the comments with reviews. Food was decent. It could be a little bit higher quality. The desserts were great. The buffet was pretty good. The breakfast buffet was pretty basic in the same every day. It would be nice for it to mix it up a little bit like they do lunch and dinner. The staff was awesome. There’s just one front desk person named Tula and she was awesome and helped me every day I was there. I wish they would had a better or an actual gift shop within inside the property for basic amenities, etc. The entertainment was awesome. The vibe was great. The room itself was very nice loved the shower finally found a place that had a great shower."
"We left a terrible experience at the Baha Mar to come to the British Colonial and it saved our vacation! It was the relaxing getaway that we needed. The hotel and beach were beautiful, we loved the lounging area before the pool where we quietly rested while our son napped. Exactly what we needed which is what we didn’t get at the Baha Mar, sun and serenity. The staff is INCREDIBLE and definitely contributed to a memorable experience, with the exception of an odd few. We dined at the buffet every morning and every single staff member there was a pleasure, especially Cindy. We also dined at the lunch/dinner restaurant a couple of times where we also had a great experience. The gentlemen on the beach crew were exceptional, especially Ken! Although I would say the beach bar/restaurant does not meet the excellence of the rest of the hotel. The service was definitely not as friendly, it was slow and seemed kind of careless. We avoided it after a couple of satisfactory experiences. The hotel is in a good location so we were able to grab food at other spots. I would also note that the rooms are small. We would have preferred queen beds over the double beds which is the usual standard, and our shower was tiny! But overall it was a good experience."
"This hotel was an amusement park, not a vacation. We left after the second day to spend the remainder of our vacation at another hotel. There were WAY TOO MANY guests and not enough amenities to accommodate them. They state they have 45+ restaurants but that is false! Tiny little food trucks that serve terrible food and takeout huts are considered a restaurant but are only open during the day, so night time selection for dinner is very limited. On top of that not all restaurants are open every night of the week, so on the day of our arrival we got rejected at every restaurant that was open which was few. Your basically told to make reservations or don’t expect food, but there is only so much reservation availability for 3 full towers of hotel guests totalling to thousands of people. The one night we did do dinner we went to the steak house which had mediocre food, wouldn’t eat the steak again. You end up waiting in a long line up everywhere you go. The beach has people packed like sardines, again not enough space to accommodate the number of guests that stay. Room wasn’t cleaned on day 2, house keeping seemed overwhelmed. Loud music being blasted on speakers literally everywhere you go. To top it all off the rooms and decor are mediocre at best. We don’t mind paying premium pricing for a premium room and amenities, but nothing about this hotel was worth the pricing. We were much happier spending the remainder of our vacation at another hotel. 100% do not recommend this hotel."
"For the price we paid for our stay I can definitely say it was worth it. We started off with a little hiccups but the staff was so helpful and made sure to correct everything and made sure we got proper accommodation. We also got complimentary accommodation for the water park in Atlantis which I found was really nice especially since we had kids 7 and under. The park is 5 mins walk away from the hotel. There is restaurants around as well walking distance. The breakfast was more American cuisine which was ok and again the staff working in that area was exceptionally friendly and helpful."
"The property is older and the cove rooms are worn and need to be refreshed as do the bathrooms. Big complaint about pool water temperature being too cold -- we did not swim at all in the pool, and it is the main reason for being there. Pool temps should be much warmer and advertised as other resorts do. We will not come back as other resorts have much warmer pool temps.
Not enough beach chairs with sun covers at the cove beach or the pool. -- these 2 activities are the main reason people choose to come here -- so really needs to be addressed -- a truly lovely resort - if they can attend to these items"
"Reality did not meet expectations for the price. Most of the waterslides were shut down. Food menus limited. Very dirty overall. And the prices were astronomical!!!! "
