We arrived at 7:45 pm on Saturday 8/27. Location was beautiful, but the house smelled musty and it was DIRTY!
I sent a text to the Vacasa Guest Experience Department stating that all of the carpets were covered in lint, hair and even tooth floss in one bedroom! None of the floors were washed and the kitchen floor was sticky and dirty. One nightstand was greasy and had hair on it and another was sticky. The brown comforter in my son’s room had unmistakable body secretions on it and the sheets were dirty with crumbs and makeup. The other comforters were generally dirty. One of the beds only had pillows with dirty shams—no clean pillowcases. Vacasa asked for pictures, which I promptly sent.
They asked if we would like them to send the local maintenance team out to take a look and “help in the cleaning.” I said Yes and was told that they would be out tomorrow. They arrived about 12:30 pm on Sunday 8/28. They changed the sheets and took the dirty comforters but left no clean ones or even a blanket. The team was leaving and I asked about the carpets and floors. They said they were done and called their supervisor and gave me the phone. She told me that they don’t do a “deep clean” every time, which I did not expect—just clean. The team came back in and vacuumed the carpet on the walkways and “dusted” the kitchen floor and left it sticky. A while later, 2 people came to bring the pillowcases and blankets and I asked about the floor and they just shrugged. I asked if they at least had a mop that I could use to do it myself, which they showed me and left. The bathrooms were gross with soap scum and mildew so I bought cleaning supplies and cleaned them myself!
