This comfortably furnished and simple home is just a short walk to the best of this Outer Banks beach town. Visit some of the great local shops and local restaurants of Avon like Ketch 55 or the Froggy Dog and even get a sweet treat at Cups and Cones! Plus, Uncle Pooh's Cottage is just a short walk away from the beach where you'll be sure to make memories with your friends and family and get some much needed salt air and sun during your stay.

At Uncle Pooh's Cottage, you'll find an open floor plan with a living room, dining room, and kitchen combo that allows your family to spend time together without feeling overcrowded. Enjoy quiet nights on the screened porch and use the table for playing cards and games or hosting an old-fashioned shrimp and crab boil; picnic style for easy cleanup. On the main level you'll also find 3 bedrooms, a full hall bath, and half bath. Upstairs awaits a Queen bedroom complete with TV, sitting area, and private sun deck access. Uncle Pooh's Cottage is perfect for the family looking for the simplicity of Hatteras Island and the comfort of a home away from home.

Beach vacation

Everything about the cottage was exactly as described and it was the perfect sized place for our family of 5. Great location - just a short walk to the beach and a nice little ice-cream stand along with many restaurants and shops also within an easy walk or bike ride. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come again😊

Uncle Pooh's Cottage felt like one of the original beach houses in Avon. It was comfortable and cozy, and we had a very wonderful time here.

Uncle poohs cottage

The location was great. The house definitely needed a deep cleaning. The upstairs bed feels like you are just laying on springs. The other beds were fine. We had a problem with the drain in the shower but within 2 hours I got a phone saying they will be there to fix it and they came on time within the same day.
