The open common area space and huge kitchen was perfect for our group to all have eating and lounging space. The central location was convenient to all the areas we wanted to visit, and the parking was a huge plus for our guests with a car. Only "negative" was the fridge was a little tricky to close, and the sun was very bright in the mornings through all the windows along the back of the house without blinds, but I cannot say there was any shortage of natural sunlight! The location was perfect to all the activities we had planned downtown, plenty of living/lounging areas and bedrooms and bathrooms to give us space to spread out and decompress. Beds were A (both my wife and sister-in-law commented). Great location (convenient to airport and downtown). The house was beautiful and clean. It had so much character. The neighborhood was beautiful and we all felt very safe. The location was great. We were never far from where we were trying to go. The Dozier house is beautifully updated, clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The conversation areas are conducive to a group setting. The views of the Capitol are spectacular. It’s close to campus and downtown. We have stayed At numerous properties in ATX, and this one was definitely one of the best. ##### Lola W. This house was the perfect place for 6 friends from 3 different states to stay while visiting Austin. It’s very spacious, has wonderful amenities and is within walking distance to many attractions downtown. The listing said it only had 4 bedrooms, but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and found that there were 5\. This meant that only two of us had to share a bedroom. The lovely outdoor deck was also a plus. Definitely 5 star accommodations! ##### Gail C. We loved everything about the Dozier: beautifully appointed and equipped house, very convenient location to downtown, the lake, south congress, grocery stores, restaurants. And the view! Wow. We didn’t cook there, just used toaster, and coffee maker!! Beds and sheets were very comfortable, plenty of towels!! I think for the price there could be a few things that could use attention ( kitchen sink faucet needs adjustment, hot is cold, cold is hot, and the whole thing needs to be tightened down, the garbage can cabinet also needs attention, I wish the house had a keyless entry system, the key in the lockbox was a bit of a pain since there was only the one key and it was not near the door), but overall I would stay here again. The location was perfect for the family wedding weekend and all the activities. Taking Uber’s was a breeze. House says it sleeps 12, I guess it would depend on your group, not that it can’t be done, but bathrooms/privacy might be an issue. We had 8 and it was fine, but glad we didn’t have 10\. Historic renovated house and furnishings were great. Central location for downtown Austin is perfect. Hot water consistency issues in the kitchen and bedroom hopefully have been corrected. Outdoor furniture cushion was ripped. Great view of the Capital. Location next to busy 15th Street makes evenings in the master bedroom noisy but tolerable with Airpods and white noise. ##### Robert S. There were dust balls everywhere and one of the showers didn’t look like it was cleaned. The water pressure was bad in all the bathrooms except the master. Location was fine, but we had to uber to everything we wanted to do. House had multiple areas with couches, could’ve used some sort of entertainment like pool table or ping pong.
