Great for two day getaway. Fishing poles were a nice touch. The treetop rooms I would describe more as tree level.

Overpriced lodging with a nice website and deceivingly good photos online. I spent the weekend at their Lucy Cottage lodge and for the price of over 1,000/night, Camp Lucy is disappointing. Here's why: - Their pool is situated with restaurant seating facing the pool so it felt awkward being in the pool with the folks eating at the restaurant watching you. Overall the pool placement feels like an after thought to the property layout. Also, worth noting the pool is not heated and they do not have any hot tubs. - I stayed at one of their largest lodgings (Lucy Cottage) and it did not have an individual outdoor fire pit. The property does have communal fire pits but those are a drive away from the cottage we were at. - Their Lucy Cottage is a charmless old looking 3 bed/3 bath house that was renovated on the inside at builder's grade quality. - For the price of the stay, I would have expected a golf card to have been provided since the lodging we were at was a drive away from the pool, communal fire pits, and restaurant. - If you want to eat at the onsite restaurant with 8 guests they require you to rent their private room that has a $750 tax rental fee since the main dining room cannot accommodate a party size larger than 7.

Pros: Creekside cabin was secluded and relatively quiet. Beds were comfortable and the cabin was clean. Staff was very nice Cons: No BBQ grill at all. We expected to be able to grill renting a creekside cabin. Also no fire pit at the cabin itself. Only the community fire pits up the hill and near reception area. (About a half mile walk) Also a very bright, large street light/flood lamp in the yard takes away from night sky and stargazing at the cabin. One of the main reasons we wanted to stay in hill country. Was a little disappointing. Lastly, and not a huge deal for us but worth noting yard maintenance crew arrived fairly early one morning, I understand this is necessary but perhaps the scheduling of their arrival can be considered when guests are at the cabin. Overall, it was a nice relaxing visit but hard to justify the cost for us to return due to some of our family’s cons.

I absolutely loved walking each morning exploring the area around the resort for all the beautiful architecture elements or walking the paths and roads to see the deer and beautiful sunrises. It was quiet and enjoyable to be out in nature. The fire pit at night with the s'mores was a great way to end the day.

Amazing discovery
Wife and I have stayed here several times and can assure anyone reading this that it is THE place to stay in Dripping Springs. The restaurant, Tilley’s, is beautiful and has the best bone in ribeye I have ever been served. The staff are awesome and the pictures of the cottages do not even remotely do the place justice. Lots of nearby wineries, Dreamland for mini golf is a blast, horseback riding and....they said Camp Lucy is starting planning for an on-site SPA!!! (Thinking 2022/2023 timeframe).

Beautiful place but poor service -
The grounds and room were absolutely fantastic. The service and attention to detail was extremely poor. The room had no towel or paper towels in the kitchen, one fork, one spoon and one knife. I stopped at the front desk and asked about paper towels and utensils and was handed a handful of paper towels. I was told that they can not stock the rooms due to Covid. I have stayed in numerous hotels in the past year and haven't had this issue. I also stayed at another ranch in the San Antonio area this trip and the rooms all had a roll of paper towels, utensils and a sponge and was half the price of Camp Lucy. $4 of disposable supplies would have made this place 5 stars, but attention to detail (especially the small details) makes all the difference in my world.

Beautiful setting. Pool capacity restricted so easy to social distance; loved pool side service, kids loved the alpaca feeding (we went 3 times), the archery and hatchet throwing. Room was ultra quiet and clean and easily slept 6 . The fridge was vital and even had a mini freezer to keep our cool blocks frozen. We brought sandwich meats and cheeses with us to minimize restaurant interactions. A perfect spot for a social distancing retreat. Nearby State Parks were beautiful; recomment Mckinney and Pedernales but book early. The room we had comfortably slept 6 people: 2 teenagers, 2 younger kids and 2 adults. My only complaint is that the construction and trucks beginning at 7:00am made sitting on the balcony in the cool of the morning a noisy experience (although in the room you could not hear anything).

Beautiful Place With a Few Mishaps
Hands down Camp Lucy is one of the most aesthetically designed places I’ve ever stayed. The bathroom tile, exposed beams, and antique doors set amongst the beauty of the Hill Country was relaxing and inspiring. With this in mind, there are a few things I would have expected to be better in order to justify the cost. 1. Our room was a little dirty. There were dirt handprints and smashed bugs on the bathroom walls, dirt and dust on the floor, and food crumbs and spills on the coffee table. 2. The food service was lacking. Upon check in, we ordered our in room dining for dinner and breakfast, except neither showed up when it came time. After calling the front desk numerous times and getting busy signals and an “it should be there soon”, we left the property in search for dinner after 1 hour past when it was expected. When we returned, the food was in our room and the cost was removed from our bill. In the morning, we were told to pick up our breakfast from guest services. The presentation was nice, the food meh. Mass produced grocery store muffins/croissants did not seem to go with the brand of Camp Lucy (maybe a partnership with a local bakery would have been better as the property’s own restaurant is working less due to COVID). 3. The organization was lacking. No one called to follow up about our late dinner, the skewers for roasting marshmallows were missing. All in all, I would stay here again for the atmosphere but not at full price and would plan to dine elsewhere.

This was our 10th trip to this beautiful resort & as always so fun! Our archery instructor, Dale was amazing & so patient with my kiddos. There was a slight hiccup with our check in but it was resolved quickly. Thanks for another great getaway Camp Lucy!

The guest check-in person was named Kali or Kailey (sp?) and she was friendly and informative with all of the amenities. I called to ask about breakfast and she heard me speaking to my daughter, who is 2 and 1/2, and she asked if I would like a kid's teepee for our room. It gave my daughter a "fort", which she loved and some privacy for my wife and I.

Let me start by saying that we stayed here during the beginnings of the coronavirus scare in Central Texas. We arrived on the day they were rolling out social distancing requirements. The staff was pleasant, kind and delightful upon arrival considering we were probably one of the only families at the resort. The grounds are gorgeous the rooms are so cute, there was plenty to do with my kids. We were there definitely during an abnormal time, but it was such a nice little break. There is plenty of open space for families to spread out and have quality time together. We enjoyed the hiking, feeding the alpacas and just taking strolls around the grounds. It was a pleasant experience and we look forward to returning. Tillies even stayed open during our stay, which I know was hard to do considering no one was going out to restaurants. The food was yummy and drinks even better. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else during this crazy time. Can’t wait to return!

Restaurant is excellent, and the building is beautiful. Friendly staff. Rooms are very nice. Some fun little activities to do, but overall this is a pla e to unplug.
