It should have been a clue when I could not cancel once booked. We got this place so we were within walking distance of food . The upstairs fan had a TON of dust on it. It’s felt dirty. There is a fine for every thing. We just needed a clean place to crash. I reached out to the host on the app and they never responded. The only communication was automated emails. Wish I would have checked the reviews. 😱 I would like to share my experience with this Vrbo rental. When we arrived, we were disappointed to find that the counters in the bathroom and kitchen, as well as the couch, were quite dirty. Moreover, upon inspecting the bedding, we discovered dirt on the pillowcases, numerous debris and hair on the sheets. We promptly documented these issues with photos and sent them to the property manager. The property manager offered to send someone over the next day to address the cleanliness concerns. However, given the immediate need for a clean living space, we decided to take matters into our own hands. We went to Target to purchase cleaning supplies and returned to the apartment to clean and do laundry, which extended until midnight. We reached out to the property manager again, expressing our dissatisfaction with the state of the apartment. He offered to refund our cleaning deposit, but when we informed him that we had to spend a considerable amount of time cleaning and doing laundry just to make the space habitable, he was unwilling to compensate us for that night. It's important to note that the property manager's offer to send someone over was for the following day, making it impractical for us to wait in the unclean conditions. Additionally, we discovered soiled mattress covers, dirty towels, and a shower covered in mildew, mold, and hair on the walls, further contributing to our disappointment with the overall cleanliness of the rental. ##### Meghan T. Stayed 2 nights in Sep 2023 ### 4/10 Poor #### Richard T. 15 Dec 2022 Liked: Check-in Disliked: Location #### College Housing As advertised the building is in the heart of the west campus and while it may no longer house just college students the building has seen its better days. 2nd bed is at the top of a spiral staircase which makes getting to the bathroom on the first floor a bit of a challenge. The toilet handle was broken which lead to the bowl constantly running unless you jigger it just so. The first night we stayed there was no running hot water in the shower. I emailed the property manager and they got back to me by the end of the next day. Since I hadn't heard from them and didn't want to stay two more nights with no hot water I booked a room at a local hotel. I choose this location because it was close to my daughter's apartment and we were in town to move her out. If location is your top priority then consider this place.
